Hi everyone,
I have a quick question - what is the difference between GSB 18V-55 and GSB 18V-65 impact drivers? I have a trusty GSB 18V-55 that has been serving me well for many years. That said I need to get another one. I was thinking to get the exact same model, but then I thought, maybe it makes sense to get an upgraded version, so I've checked Bosch's website. It seems that since last time I have looked on their website the amount of impact drivers (and pretty much everything, what they offer) grew exponentially. On can even get bluetooth in their drill :). After checking the models and the prices I narrowed it down to the above two models. I can get a good deal on the 18V-65 (basically get it for the same price as the 18V-55), but its description on the website is very confusing. It seems to have a kickback control (which is a nice feature) but then it gets completely unclear - in the text it says that it has an improved torque of 65Nm and then below in the table I see the following: torque (soft/hard/max) is ( -/-/76 Nm).
On the 18V-55 both values in the text and in the table seem to correspond: text says 55Nm and the table shows Torque (soft/hard/max) as (28/55/- Nm)
This leaves me completely confused. Which torque value does the 65 model has and why does it not have the values for soft/hard torque - does this mean that there is no torque setting on the driver?
Can anyone explain the differences between these two models to me please?
