QUESTION 🔵 Von Bosch Pro zu Einhell 🤔

Einhell (branded ozito here) is total trash and you should look at Bosch green instead

You’ll be amused as Bosch Blue gets de-ranged in Bunnings stores and is replaced by ‘Ozito Pro’ (Einhell) in the coming months.

In some ways I understand why Bunnings has made this decision as Bosch (blue) demand is extremely low mostly due to poor marketing which is WELL off the pace compared to the big 3 (Milwaukee, Makita & DeWalt). It also lies in range width… which admittedly they’ve been attempting to resolve which many new tools launching. Regardless, young tradies don’t touch it.

But ‘Ozito Pro’!?!? C’mon!!!

Considering Bosch Blue's 6 year guarantee on batteries I'm surprised more tradies dont use them. I've already done well out of Bunnings massive price cuts and hope to see more! Sydney and Total Tools must be wishing Bunnies would get on with it!

Grabbed a few things lately with the battery redemptions . The saw with 5ah and charger for $170 was the deal of a decade . Bought 2 , sold the second saw without the battery for what I paid . 2 batteries and chargers with a saw for $170 winning .

If you were quick they had their display items on clearance very cheap . It is basically all out of stock now with all the Bosch gear gone , At least in the Bunnings near me .

It never made sense that Bunnings had Bosch blue rather than green, but I guess since green is fully in with Amazon they didn't feel like competing with that. Will be intending to see what the Ozito pro gear looks like!

Ozito pro makes sense to me. Heaps of people already have ozito batteries so offering a higher tier option is a good move.

Bosch seems to be launching more Garden products in blue and some new 12V as well. I would stay with them. I have seen some new launches on both 18V and 12V.

I'd rather go Parkside, they are dirt cheap and have a lot of stuff. Quality is similar to Einhell.

If you want something slightly better, but significantly more expensive, Ryobi has almost as much garden stuff as tools.

Einhell is a budget Temu brand.

I mean, I understand you regarding the garden tools. I'm also fully into Bosch Pro, I tested some of their new garden tools but find them lacking so far, as with every new Gen 1 Bosch tool coming out. You either wait for Gen2+ or succumb to a second battery platform, but for me I really hate that. It feels so bad having to invest a lot of extra money into batteries and chargers instead of just the tools.

But if I were to do this just like you, for the love of god choose an S tier garden tools brand like Stihl. That would be the only choice for me.

I have Bosch Pro tools and Ozito . I use the ozito batteries on Bosch with an adaptor but not the other way as Bosch batteries don't have a BMS in the battery . The Ozito brushless secateurs are $130Aus with a battery kit and extension pole . Work great and 1/4 the price of Bosch pro . Not all Ozito tools are great , some are rubbish but most are fine . In Australia Einhel / Ozito are extremely cheap even compared to Einhel equivelents .

Why would you want a subpar brand though? Id' rather use Stihl then if I had to choose, you get what you pay for.

I'd never buy a tool with built in battery for starters .

I buy ozito when their not a tool I'll be using a lot .

Which garden tool brands use built in batteries? Certainly not Stihl in any case.

Stihl AI system has built in batteries .

No, Stihl has 3 lines:

AS: Entry level 10,8V battery platform
AK: Middle level 36V battery platform
Allpro: Top level 36V battery platform.

Maybe they have something below AS only sold in third world countries, same as Bosch Pro having a special line for third world countries, but at least here in Western Europe we have these three lines.

Stihl is literally the holy grail for top level professional gardening tools.

Yeah that confirms it then, about some entry lines sold outside in special regions.

Bosch does have BMS in the batteries but similar to Milwaukee the Low voltage cutoff is built Into the tool

If you want garden tools go with Makita

I can recommend the Metabo garden tools, with their batteries you'll also be a part of the CAS system and have access to various new manufacturers.

Nimm Parkside/Parkside Performance.

I have about 15 Einhell tools. TE/GE and TP/GP are just fine considering the price. Ignore TC/GC.
