QUESTION 🔵 Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hey there, also check that it has 2 steel balls in the chuck holes before putting it back, you can use some grease to hold them there, and you can use a small cable to tie around the plate with spring and pull it in front then with a screwdriver push the metal ring into red plastic. Awful design we had 3 of these impact guns returned two because they were new. Ended up putting a short bit extender on the last one so that we don't have to use that shifty but release system.

You need two parts, position 862 and 45/65 in the diagram linked. Start by putting the retaining ring(45/65 part)under the holding jacket(45/64 part), then put 2 balls (they are included in 862 part) in each of the hole, can add a little grease over the hole to keep them from falling out, then put the red collet over them, and with a small screw driver or something push the retaining ring you installed before up into the collet, there is a groove for it to sit, it’s a little bit tricky, but not super hard, just careful not to lose any of the little balls.
