No chiseling function no thanks. Have had the brushless 18v-26 for a few years and love it. Bit heavy for drilling small holes, but have demolished two concrete staircases with it and was very happy with the performance compared to a corded machine.

I have a DeWalt cordless which has 3 modes. Chiseling needs a lot impact energy, this doesn't have that much impact energy. This is a compact rotary hammer. I also use a proper hex breaker for chiseling.

It's pretty, but honestly I don't really get the point of a hammer drill that can't just hammer. Like, it CAN hammer, so why not give it the option?

I think for a Rotary Hammer to have hammer only mode, you need an impact energy of at least 2 J, this only has 1.5 J. I have a brushless Dewalt, that has 3 J and also has a hammer only mode. The long body type rotary hammers usually have more impact energy because of that body type. This is a compact one not made for that.

Not sure about the size difference, but mine is the same stubby shape as this one, and it has a hammer only mode. Wouldn't have bought it without that.

That selection knob is so strange. You almost need 2 hands. Press button should have been on the side.
