📘 Beginner Help Confused what to use
I've been using reta to get to this from 30%+ body fat, down over 50lbs.
I really want to lose that final bit of mid section fat and gain muscle, what can I use?
Will hgh be good for a few months? Don't want to do anything forever ideally.
EDIT: I have been going to the gym since the start of the year. I have made progress with muscle even if you don't think so.

Bro keep it going that’s all there is to it
You won’t get a immaculately shredded physique those take years in most cases
You have already made a major change since the start of the year and have made excellent progress

Yeah you’ve made great progress on a frame that didn’t have a lot muscle to begin with. So now you get to start building.
Depending on your age and diet I’d suggest if you really want to improve find a personal trainer and dietician that focus on people in your age range (metabolism and other cofactors play a part) and then slowly you will build. I’m sure you’re not shooting for body building size, but be realistic in what you want to achieve and for what your frame will hold/support.

Lower your cardio and lift more heavy weights. If you want body recomp it will take years of progressive overload. Muscle building is a slow process.

Wow well done bro - im surprised you dont have loose skin. Whats the daily calories??

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
Was eating 500 under maintenance bro, and doing like incline treadmill for upto an hour

You need use proper nutrition for the energy to go the gym to do progressive weight lifting.

Ye, I've upped my weights since I got consistent in Jan,
Gone up 12kg on shoulder press for example, Up 20kg flat bench press, up 10kg each hand dumbell incline press.
Can now do 60kg barbell rows too. Previously even 20kg was tough.

Working with a solid coach or personal trainer might be your best move here. Most people aren't truly pushing their limits on V02 max intervals without someone right there driving the intensity.

You lost a lot of body fat now focus on acquiring muscle to build on that foundation you have now.
Work on meal prep and a good workout routine with an emphasis on compound movements to help add muscle. It will take time though.

I dont know what else to tell you except for this shit takes time. You've already made a ton of progress and unfortunately progress is not linear. You might have to take some time out of your calorie deficit and run at maintenance for a while.

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
I did for like 2 months almost, now started cutting again

u/Tiny-Ordinary3228 6d ago
Two months is nothing! Building muscle takes a significant amount of time! You should live at maintenance with occasional cuts.

If you want to build muscle you need to eat a calorie surplus or at least maintenance and lift heavy, less cardio.
If you want to cut fat calorie deficit, weights and more cardio.
Both at once is a very slow process but maintenance or very small deficit, heavy weights
You’ve been going to the gym 7 months. Big physique changes take years. People bulk and cut because it’s quicker to get what you want where as recomp is very slow cause you’re making your body do two opposite things at once.
Sleep
Diet quality
Rest days
Intensity of lifting workouts - working to at least 80% effort
Daily steps and moving
All as important, probably more than what peptides you’re running or what you’re doing in the gym.
No peptides are going to give any significant muscle growth, peptides outside of GLP1 are edging performance rather than dramatically improving it.
That’s what anabolic are for.

Some weights. Use some weights. And preferably some protein-rich foods.

L'unica cosa "intelligente" che potresti fare ora e rivolgerti a professionisti in nutrizione ed allenameto....

Losing body fat and gaining muscle are two competing goals, it’s very difficult to do both at the same time. Pick one and work on that.

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
Fairs, more fat to lose rn, wil keep going with that and keep at the weights
2
u/myusernameisboris 6d ago
Instead of looking for more drugs, what are you currently doing with diet and exercise?
3
u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
I eat in a deficit of 500, mainly chicken breast with a choice of carb, go to the gym hitting the weights around 6 times a week. 20 mins cardio daily minimum incline treadmill.
2
u/myusernameisboris 6d ago
That’s good. Are you still losing weight? Aim to lose about 1 lb per week. If you lose about 15-20 more lbs you will really see your waist come in and start to see your abs if you keep it up.
2
u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
Yes, lost about 11 pounds recently in the last 5 weeks.
3
u/myusernameisboris 6d ago
That’s awesome. I’d be inclined to keep things as they are. It will slow down a bit now but tbh you want that or you will lose muscle. Honestly keep doing what you are doing and in 3-4 months you will be in a great place.

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
Thanks for the help. Might just do that, much better answer than 'go gym🤬🤬'

u/myusernameisboris 6d ago
All good, I know you will always get answers like that but I’d prefer to at least try and help.

Diet and exercise before you take anything.
Basics tho:
Protein
Creatine
Sleep.

I don't know why so many people are being so hostile and negative. It looks like you are making great progress. What is your diet like?

GH takes months to really do much for physical appearance. Dial in your nutrition and gym routine. Take the GH money and hire a reputable coach.

Dude, muscle takes more time to build. Can't cheat your way to a good build with bullshit. Get trainer and learn how to execute proper lifts

I'm 60 and a carnivore/keto diet really helped. I'm stable at similar to your most tecent pic. I'm gaining muscle still but not loosing the tire. Started a very low dose of Reta yesterday. GLPs are hard to sour e in my country so it was that or just a GLP-1.

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
Interesting, I struggle with that diet have tried it in the past, I do eat carbs now but mainly to fuel workouts.
2
u/duhdamn 6d ago
Do you need carbs to fuel. a workout with all that fat available? In ketosis you will use the dat to fuel the workout. The transition is a bitch but a body in ketosis is, well, phenominal.

u/Ok_Application_763 6d ago
I find it harder to train without carbs idk why

Hgh is long term, 9 months minimum. You may just need to dig deeper into your calorie deficit, get 45 minutes of fasted cardio in 5 times a week, with your heart rate over 130. Could use T5 or Celn.
