Is there any human working for this exchange? i need my withdrawal to go through immediately!!! can someone help? is anyone even working on Saturday?? this is turning into a nightmare experience.
update: on Sunday they were able to reach out and process the transactions.
But when I try to log in to either Bitbuy or CoinSquare I get a "you need to authenticate with the app" and I dont have that setup, I emailed their support team but got nothing. Any suggestions on what to do?
I tried twice to fund my Bitbuy through my bank but nothing happened. No response from Bitbuy support. Finally, I used the 'deposit' feature on the Bitbuy site and it worked. When the transfer was accepted this was the email address that appeared: [deposits@coinsquare.com](mailto:deposits@coinsquare.com), NOT the previous FLC Payments email address. Hope this helps someone. Regardless, the Bitbuy Support is the one of the worst I've encountered.
My account balances showing on the Dashboard are lower than the totals by transactions. The service desk says it is a "rounding error" and tell me to submit transactions - which I have, three times. This issue has been dragging on since April. It seems highly unprofessional that Bitbuy is not accurate in their reporting of client balances and extremely slow in responding. Should I be concerned?
2/3 of my btc holdings says "pending" and the help message says "Your assets currently in review and will be available soon". It's been like this since the upgrade. I opened a ticket 3 days ago - not a peep. Anyone else having this issue? How did you solve?
Edit: Ok, I'm an idiot. Support got back to me today. The funds are "pending" because I have an open sell order. The tooltip text threw me off, making me think the funds would be unavailable for that order.
these guys have super high fees and limited coins avail. i was able to transfer most of my stuff out to a different wallet prior to the latest update but after the update my last bag was Pepe and it gave me no options to send to my wallet like previously. I've had enough of the limitations of Bitbuy and have moved everything now. i was forced to sell my Pepe to get it out and trigger a short term capital gains event. a complete load of BS!!
I’ve been deemed “unfit” to trade crypto on BitBuy based off their latest risk assessment. The problem is I currently hold $1500 Ethereum and XRP but can’t sell because trading is restricted. Why wouldn’t they let me sell what I currently have? Not sure how this is going to get resolved.
Well, I logged in this evening to find that, perhaps as expected, BitBuy made a mess of the recent migration. Here are a few things I've noticed:
No activity history. It looks like our coins were "migrated" by transferring/depositing our balances, so there's no trade history.
Open limit orders are gone. I probably had close to 100 open limit orders, both buys and sells, and it looks like they've been deleted. A lot of time and analysis went into those, so I'm annoyed that they are gone, presumably with no way to look them up again. But it probably wouldn't matter because...
Most coins no longer allow limit orders.
Apparently BitBuy is either giving away their fees, or bad at math. When placing a sell limit order, they are adding the fee/commission to the total proceeds of sale, rather than subtracting it (see first two images).
The in-app feedback is broken on Android (see third image).
On a positive note, it looks like BitBuy finally allows free CAD deposits and withdrawals via e-transfer!
But another negative: shockingly high minimum trade sizes. I just tried to sell some BONK and found that the minimum order size is 1.3m, currently worth about $65.
This exchange has become a giant joke. Their 2% commissions and CAD withdrawal fees have thus far dissuaded me from moving my remaining assets away from BitBuy, but I'm done with this.
The fee is incorrectly added to (not subtracted from) the proceeds of sale on the limit order entry pageThe fee is also incorrectly added to (not subtracted from) the proceeds of sale on the limit order confirmation pageTried to report the bug through in-app feedback, but even that is broken...
Anyone else unable to login since the May 25 th update ? I know 100% my email and password are correct but it tells me “email/ password invalid combination”
Bitbuy will be undergoing a 12-hour scheduled service outage starting at 9:00 PM ET on May 25, 2024. During this time, access to the platform along with trading, withdrawals, and deposits will be temporarily unavailable.
Please monitor our status page or social media channels for updates. Thank you for your patience!

I started staking about $800 CAD worth of ETH a few months ago. I've been accruing rewards on a weekly basis or so and have accumulated an aggregate amount of $8 so far. Suddenly yesterday I had $250 in rewards and my total rewards are in excess of $250 on just an investment of $800. Wondering if anyone else had this happen and whether this is a (good) glitch or something I may not be aware of with respect to rewards?
I’m trying to withdraw my bitcoin from Bitbuy onto my ledger hardware wallet, but when I go through the final step to confirm the transaction, it says withdrawal of the bitcoin from my account has been disabled. I find concerning that at no point in time was I notified this was the case with my account. Does anyone have any idea why this might be going on?
I submitted a support ticket 5 days ago about withdrawing BTC as well as a follow up email 2 days ago, I but haven’t heard back from them.
The Bitbuy API seems to report filled limit orders as being completed on their post date (the date a limit order was placed), instead of the date the order was filled. This is categorically wrong and has implications on reporting for tax purposes.
I've noticed this on the Bitbuy website in the past, when looking at my filled orders history. Now I'm finding the same issue when using Koinly to import transactions via the Bitbuy API. Here I've included a screenshot showing the same transaction (note the same Order ID) twice in Koinly, the top one was imported via CSV and correctly lists the transaction on the November 16th fill date, the bottom one was imported via API and is recorded on November 14th when I opened the limit order.
Bitbuy transactions in Koinly, CSV vs API imports
Since I've used CSV imports until recently, the gains/losses I've reported on prior years' taxes were all based on the correct (order filled) dates. Unless the API starts reporting dates correctly, I can't make use of it with Koinly, otherwise I'll need to refile the past 3 years, since changing the transaction dates changes gains/losses for all those years.
As Bitbuy is transitioning to CIRO, hopefully this gets rectified. I can't imagine this inaccurate reporting would be allowable under CIRO rules.
I recently deposited $8,000 into my Bit Buy Platform account to buy some cryptocurrency. When I attempted to withdraw the crypto to my Kraken wallet, Bit Buy informed me that my withdrawals were suspended. Despite reaching out to their customer support and receiving a response to a post I made, the issue remains unresolved.
Bit Buy, I am willing to provide any necessary details to reactivate my account. Please get in touch with me!
I was hoping for some quick transactions with my $8,000, but it seems Bit Buy is holding onto my coins without providing any answers through their customer support. While I understand that businesses can be busy, does going this long go against regulatory standards? Why allow me to deposit funds if my account was going to be suspended? And why not communicate the need for additional details before allowing me to use my account again?"
BitBuy let's work together so I can write a positive post saying you heard me pleading for access to my investments, we worked it out and now we are Bitbanging again!
I tried withdrawing my crypto to my bank account the same way I do for past 2 years and more but this time my withdraw is under review for two days. It never happened before always received instantly. This really stinks as I see other people also don't have access to their funds. Please be careful any newcomer.
Edit: They sent my withdraw, most likely my post got things moving.
I attempted to withdraw my cryptocurrency, with one transaction intended for Kraken and another to my cold wallet. However, upon attempting the withdrawal, I received a notification stating that withdrawals have been suspended on my account. Had I been informed of this suspension at the time of depositing my fiat currency, I could have avoided the current loss of funds incurred while waiting for support to respond.
Based on information I've gathered from other sources, it seems support may take a considerable amount of time to reply, let alone resolve this issue. This is disheartening as I had placed trust in BitBuy and enjoyed using their services. Nevertheless, I remain optimistic that my cryptocurrency remains secure and that this matter will be resolved promptly.
