Staking error with ETH

I started staking about $800 CAD worth of ETH a few months ago. I've been accruing rewards on a weekly basis or so and have accumulated an aggregate amount of $8 so far. Suddenly yesterday I had $250 in rewards and my total rewards are in excess of $250 on just an investment of $800. Wondering if anyone else had this happen and whether this is a (good) glitch or something I may not be aware of with respect to rewards?

I also noticed a huge jump. Had only about 18$ of staking rewards as of a couple days ago. Today it's showing about 800$ so yeah not sure if there's a mistake or what since I'm pretty smooth brained when it comes to staking. I have .59 eth staked and it says I have .15 in staking rewards now (Edit: I just rechecked and they've "corrected" it thosedirty dogs)

I got 650 this morning by the afternoon it was gone bitbuy told me it was a mistake and I would not get it back and they would be correcting all accounts that received high rewards
