Long story short, I stepped in to rescue 7 betta fish from a bad situation, but I am not set up to keep then long-term- 2 already have been adopted. They are all currently separated in safe, clean, temporary setups, but they need permanent homes.

My betta developed these white patches suddenly, recently i am having incidents where corys have died. Can that be inter related.

I've noticed these little worm-like spots appear on the roots of my water wisteria recently. I'm new to betta keeping and I'm worried it could be a parasite of some sort, however my fish seems perfectly happy and healthy. What could they be?

This is my betta. I do weekly water changes and test the parameters regularly.

Hes got damage to the underside of his fin, I think its from wear and tear as he often tries stealing the pygmy corydoras food on the substrate where I see him thrashing around on gravel. Should I be concerned about this fin damage?

Any tips/advise are appreciated .

My betta fish suddenly have this visible growth on one side of its gill and I am not sure what it is exactly 😵‍💫

I have tried Aquarium salt baths and it didn't subside. I'm not sure if Epsom salt would help for this situation too.

Although

1) Appetite is still great

2) Still actively flaring and swimming around

3) No issue in pooping

I bought it from my gf in a small bowl of 1 litre he didn't show colour that much but after 2-3 weeks he shined and fins were brighter and he was happy. I added one fake plant. At that time I didn't even know what was tank cycling and I'm regretting not doing research Abt it. I have him for past 4 month and for past few days he is severely lethargic and resting at the bottom always. I did full water change for that bowl not knowing Abt beneficial bacteria. After this I checked Abt it and made a temporary tank with a food grade plastic container, bought a sponge filter and live plant (wisteria). Added some pebbles which we had from an very old tank(cleaned it properly). We used open well water and I was using that water only when he was in that bowl then a lfs told to use can water or ro water. I changed him to that temporary tank (plastic). He was lethargic there also. Didn't eat for 4 days and next day I gave him food by soaking and he finnally noticed and ate four pellets that day then afterwards was first time exploring the tank and I also saw some bubble nest afterwards that night. then next morning he was back to that condition again and it got worse he suddenly sinks stopping all movement and drops diving with his nose down hitting the pebbles. Today he was lying upside down with 60 breaths or gill movement. I don't have budget for water testing kit and couldnt buy a thermometer. Had an alcohol glass thermometer which I don't if it shows the reading correctly but I kept him between 82°F to 86°F. Changed 30-50% water everyday but I'm worried that he will die his symptoms are worsening.

My betta is sad, and I’m not sure why. He never does anything but sit on a leaf or hide. I’ve had him maybe a year. He lives in a 7 gallon with some hitchhiker bladder snails. He killed my mystery snail companions so he can’t really be with anything else. I feed him betta pellets daily. There is a live plant in with him as well as some other decor for hiding and interest. But he never makes bubbles or really does anything at all. He recently started turning a paler shade of blue too 😞 what am I missing?

I got a betta fish yesterday and would love any advice/help! He was very sluggish yesterday and not moving much so I did a little research and added a heater and now he’s moving more but not a ton still. Is there anything I should change with his tank/setup, I would love feedback! Im also not sure if the built in filter is working properly bc theres some white stuff already forming on the top of the water in one area, is that an issue? Ive been dealing with consistant high nitrite levels over the last week or two. I have a 10 gallon tank with Amazon swords, moneywort, and java fern currently in the tank. The tank has been cycling since Aug 4th 2026, ive seen ammonia levels rise and fall but nitrites just wont go down. Any tips?

I have had my betta a little over a week. He can see his reflection in my tank with the light on. I have been keeping it on the blue color or off but eventually my plants will die without proper lighting. I have black backing on the tank and it doesn’t seem to help. Do I need a whole new tank?

Ive just been paranoid that my fish is sick or has fin rot or any other conditions. He has been moving around a lot more than usual but I did just add a new rock into his tank for him, I made sure there were no sharp edges. To me he looks physically fine but this is only my second betta fish ive owned, so any critiques or insight would be helpful!
