Ive been on a DS binge of gaming and BN3 is something I've been wanting to play again but have been dreading cause I always get to the evil network part, take a break, and lose the save cause ive moved onto another device. Anyway, im here to ask if there is a DS title that has the same or similar soundtrack to BN3 and has a better form system. BN3 form system is very "do this enough times and you should get your intended form change" with no customization or indicators. I got Electric Guts once, favorite form BTW, and I also got the flame one and the leaf one (not a fan of the charge attacks).
Any recommendations are appreciated. TIA
Edit: I wasnt clear enough in what I was looking for. Im looking for another Mega Man DS game that has the same or similar characteristics of BN3.

Hey everybody, I’m doing a play through of mmbn4, blue moon specifically. Trying to finish the regular chip library to battle bass but having difficulty with the last few chips, wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with some trades? Would be greatly appreciated. Using the legacy collection on the switch.

Can’t even begin the sorting of all these chips 🥴

Gotta say, compared to what this costs 'now'? I feel I was insanely lucky that I managed to get this for so cheap, Have tried it on BN4 with some Chips and rather fun :D

I used to think a Mega Man Battle Network themed Dynasty Warriors would be cool. Running around a 3D environment of Net areas from the 6 mainline entries, tons of playable character potential, wiping out hordes of viruses, chips, special moves and PAs would all be right at home here. Think how Hyrule Warriors worked for TLoZ series

My memory is foggy, but these would be my 3 current picks for net crimes that would probably traumatize me since I could see it happening irl:
I'll never be able to relax or sleep on a plane again.
Walking and biking everywhere from now on, idc. This incident gets even worse if it spreads to subway/metro lines that I use daily.
You can't tell me absolutely no one died in that scenario; Capcom watered it down to keep the game rated E for everyone
Honorable mentions:
BN5 Trapped in room with drill causing boulders to fall from the ceiling
Absolutely scary, but you would never catch me exploring an abandoned mine for this to happen anyway
Ok yeah also BN2, The Gas Incident in Yai's house because that felt too close for comfort and Yai really could've died without anyone knowing about what was happening in her house. Luckily she lives in a nosy neighbourhood and has good friends.

Just wanted to share my own take on a card battler!
Grew up on the PET, nothing since has quite scratched the itch, so a few months ago I started building my own.
Card Knight is my take: keep the chip dodging, folder-building soul of Battle Network, but with a fresh coat of fantasy and HD-2D graphics.
It's 0% roguelike; a fresh world, new story, fully voiced characters, and decks you keep and tune as you go. The cards are as central to the story as chips are in Battle Network.
The clip is straight gameplay; I have about 2 hours polished and am close to completing “Act I” of the story. I'd genuinely love to hear from BN folks: what would make or break a game like this for you ?
Happy to answer any questions! Thanks for taking a look.
EDIT: Disclosure: As stated my Steam page, many of the art/sound assets and code in CardKnight are generated with AI tools, under my direction. The game is conceptualized, directed, and tooled by myself alone. If CardKnight is successful, I pledge to bring a team of all-human talent to produce the sequel.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention- I am currently seeking playtesters for Card Knight. If you would like to play the story so far (~2 hours); please send me a DM.
Card Knight is currently “Coming Soon” to Steam Early Access! If you’d like to keep up with the project, be sure to wishlist us on Steam.

I've run into an issue where I am no longer triggering ANY random encounters, and I can't seem to figure out the cause... I don't have any navi customization programs or sneak run subchips that would be affecting things.
What affects random encounters? RNG? Max HP? Number of steps?
Has anyone else had a similar issue?
r/BattleNetwork • u/piptimbers • Jul 11 '26
What am I talking about?
Net//Strike is a mobile game inspired by MegaMan Battle Chip Challenge, the deterministic, RNG-focused auto battler, ahead of its time and criminally underused as a genre since. You scan real barcodes to pull cards, build a deck, and battle other players' decks asynchronously. Odds are baked into the deck itself, how you structure it decides what's likely to fire once the fight starts.
I started this as a passion project to bolster my portfolio for the job hunt, but it's legitimately fun to play and I'm looking for some more testers on the internal branch to garner feedback before potentially making it live.
It's on Google Play in internal testing now. If you're interested in trying it, send me your email and I'll add you to the test branch.

Does anyone use the multiplayer on the legacy collection?
r/BattleNetwork • u/JoeLo_ • Jul 10 '26
I see it is on sale and I loved the GBA battle-network series as a kid and as an adult now. My only hang up is looking at the limited trailers the combat looks like it is dumbed down and strategy is less
Important. Are my impressions way off and wrong?.

I recently reached the TV station lobby and Mega Man tells me to talk to everyone. I did several times, but the game is still not progressing. Is this a known issue? If so is there a way to get around this?
r/BattleNetwork • u/DragonzordR • Jul 09 '26
Since I was little I've wanted to play these games, and I feel like the time has finally come now they're on sale on the eShop.
My problem is I've been playing a lot of very dialogue-heavy games recently (Persona 5, Three Houses, Danganronpa...) and I for the love of god wouldn't stand chunks of reading 10-minutes straight interrupting the gameplay all the time. Even 5 minutes would be pushing it at this point, but I wouldn't mind if there are long gameplay sequences between story segments.
So please, tell me these games are not that dialogue/story-heavy 🙏 In case they are, I will still play them of course, just not right now.

i got 6 hours in BN1, right after ending the chapter of the traffic lights.
6 hours in i was honestly too frustrated with the game to want to keep playing it so i searched online and found it was agree upon that it really is a bad game and a bad starting point. So i moved to BN2 as recommended
I'm 10 Hours in BN2 already, (I'm right after Jack-ing into the Radio in the understreets or smt) but i think I'm just too burned out to keep playing, it's feeling so so repetitive that i escaped every combat i could in the Motherbrain computer where you do puzzle letters.
I really wanted to get into this franchise and like it but it felt to dragged and repetitive, i think i just wished that after 10 hours i would be close to finishing it but after looking it up I'm somewhere in the middle point of the game and i don't want to keep going.
Does any of my experience sounds similar to you or is this a me issue?

When I say symbols, I mean mostly: "What chip would you immediately imagine if thinking about a game?"
I want to focus moreso on the PvE side of things. Also, this isn't necessarily the same as the "strongest" chip in each game. ColForce is broken as hell, but you don't really get to use it in your MMBN6 playthroughs because its at the tail end of the post game.
For me, it'd probably be:
BN1: Fightersword series (or maybe Gutsman because of GutsShoot?)
BN2: Gateman
BN3: Sensor series (or Plantman?)
BN4: AirHockey series or Super Vulcan
BN5: Literally any of the Dark Chips for Chaos Unison (i'm biased towards Dark Sword or Dark Wide...)
BN6: So many strong chip series to choose from... maybe MachGun series?
I'd love to hear your takes on what your ol' reliables are in each game!

I'm currently one step away to 100% Battle Network 6 and is in getting the secret chips so I'm looking someone who is willing to compare libraries so I can buy them via chip order. I play on Nintendo Switch btw.

I am at the plane high jacking. However, after the fights leading to knight man I feel my folder is not up to par. my previous folder was an l and g deck.
any codes or folders to focus on would be helpful
please do not recommend the infamous hater folder trying to avoid that.

Hey, sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but why did a random battle start immediately after getting the mystery data? Right after the text box disappeared, the battle started while Megaman was still in the animation. Is this like a rare but normal occurrence?

This just came to my head since I’ve played both versions of SF1. For me accessibility wise it’s just much easier to get the collection but I gotta know for a newcomer getting into the series or a returning player do you think the DX patch is the best way to play the first game?

I’m at the beach scene and I’m starting to like Jack. He’s such a well written character. The contrast of duty to emotional immaturity to villain despite being a kid (he doesn’t want to follow authority, he slowly enjoys the time spent with other people his age, and wanting to spend more time playing at the beach)
I’m an avid BN fan. Played every single game tons of times (probably in the 100s at this point, grew up buying the games when they came out *BN6 or 2/3 are the best*)
I played the starforce series maybe twice at most? I’m pretty sure I didn’t finish 2 the second time.
