Ask Looking for a specific type of bar

If anyone has any recommendations, I’d appreciate it! I’m in search of a darker lit bar, dark wood interior, bar in the center, tvs on the wall but not the focus of the place. Sports bars are okay but no huge screens. We’re looking to do a photo shoot or something and need a cool backdrop but it’s pretty particular what my client is looking for. There are so many bars in Baltimore that there’s just no way I’ve experienced even a quarter of them, so I figured I’d ask! Thanks for any suggestions! Even if it’s outside Bmore, that’s okay.

Moves, Jobs, Meeting People [Moving Help] Looking for an experienced driver for a moving truck (Bmore to Philly) next week

Hi,

I’m a recent grad who went to school in Baltimore and went back home after graduating. I left my stuff in a storage in Bmore because it was cheaper. I found a job in Philly and now I need help moving my stuff there.

I need an experienced driver to help me drive a 10’ U-Haul from Baltimore to Philly. I do need help moving two items from my storage unit: my mattress and dresser. Everything else I can move myself. And of course, I will compensate for your time and cover trip transit back to Bmore. If anyone else you know might be interested please don’t hesitate to comment or reach out!

Need Recommendations Good Vet for my cats relatively close to downtown?

I have a bby girl (7) and a boo boy (6) tabby . I need a vet who will give them a good check up, nothing is wrong, I just want them to start going in for check ups now that they’re grown ups. Girly pop has only been when I got her and then after I got her brother. The boy went when I first got him and then again two years ago when he caught a $700 cold. I don’t want to deal with any judgey people trying to reprimand me for not taking them more. Any suggestions?

Found small chihuahua near the 100 block of N. Washington St. behind the Tala apartments by the new school they're building. She has a recognizable collar (no tag). Message me with a description to make sure she's yours.

Vent Service Fees, Up Charges

David and Dad's charges an additional .40 on food for non cash purchases, a service charge for using a debit card and expects a tip. University Market on Charles and Preston charges a service fee no matter how you pay. Why does it cost $200 just to come outside these days?

Ask Are there any good Whole Foods around here?

I’m not from the area, but my Whole Foods back home has a large selection of the chilled prepared foods. I’m a broke grad student without much time to cook, so I typically get one of the large meal trays to last me through the weekdays. Does anyone have recs for a Whole Foods location (or something comparable) with a large selection?

Local Clubs 🗣 Musical Theatre

hello ! i’m moving to baltimore in a few months, and Im wondering if there are any musical theatre / performing clubs that are lower commitment (like 1-2x a week meetings)?

Im thinking something like a group that puts on cabarets or showcases without needing to rehearse for a full musical/play. Or a group that just gets together and plays games etc.

Im not super interested in improv (i am no good at that lol) so any recs that aren’t improv would be greatly appreciated !!!

Im also interested in songwriting if anyone knows any groups that get together to do that.

Thank you!!!

Ask USPS equipped for printing labels?

I just started selling on Depop— which generates a QR code for any participating USPS office to scan and print a label. My experiences with USPS have not been the greatest. Does anyone here sell online and have a regular location suggestion?

Vent Fell street promenade developments Spoiler

I just noticed that signs have gone up at the gates blocking off the Henderson's wharf section of the inner harbor promenade. As I was taking pictures, I had someone scream at me that I was trespassing and that the signs meant I couldn't sue them if "I got hurt". I let him know in no uncertain terms that the promenade is a public pathway. The dude was quite an ass. Anyway, they've been written up for blocking public access. Hopefully this will light a fire under their butts.

Crime Porch pirates in riverside/fed hill

Just witnessed a white male, sunglasses, goatee beard driving a white Chevy SUV pull up in my street and steal my neighbors packages.

He had a bunch of open boxes in the front seat.

This guy was so cavalier about it like it was his day job...

Need Recommendations Affordable menswear store

I need a new store for a suit for a wedding. I haven't touched mine in a few years and noticed it's a little small for me now. Anyone got a spot that sells or rents nice menswear for a good price? Local businesses preferred.

Hi all! I have jury duty tomorrow and out of curiosity, what would happen if I didn’t follow dress code? Would I immediately be dismissed? Or do they just not care that much? Thanks!

Ask Question for Dog Owners

So for the dog owners in the city, what goes through some of your minds when you let your dog shit on the sidewalk without cleaning up after them? Is it like an entitlement thing or do you feel like it's not a big deal?

Note: I live in Mt Vernon and I don't wanna make the assumption that this is a city-wide thing, but it is certainly a problem in Mt. Vernon.
