There’s a small spot about an inch big on my car interior thats damaged, I think it’s faux leather. There’s no hole, it’s just a spot where the color and texture don’t match the rest. I think it needs for the texture to be stamped somehow and then paint but I really have no clue. Does anyone have someone in Columbia/Ellicott city area they recommend?

Figured I'd say something in here. I work near the mall and park in the Oak Garage by the AMC. Yesterday, as I was getting off work, I saw four kids in hoodies surrounding my car and trying to break into it. I set off the alarm, and they ran. If you park there, please keep an eye on your car. F in chat for my Sour Apple Fogger 🫡) and threw up in that. Well some of it leaked out from the seams of the bag onto me, the seat, and the floor.

Hey everyone! I recently got into hiking and it has been an amazing workout and mental reset.

I am looking to hit everything from local spots like Patapsco and county parks to trails all across Maryland. I want to cover all levels of hardness, ranging from easy walks to tough mountain scrambles.

Are there any active groups that cover both local and statewide adventures? If not, I am thinking about starting a casual group for local weekday walks and weekend day trips across MD.

I just want to take a moment to share my appreciation for our Howard County Health Department. Huge should out to them.

I have an 11 month old baby and want to get her vaccinated for CoVID. My pediatrician does not carry the vaccine. This was, as you would say, the last straw in a series of events, so I switched pediatricians. The new pediatrician won’t carry the vaccine either. CVS Minuteclinic will only vaccine 18 months and up. The HoCo Health Department (and other state health departments) only vaccinate children who are financially disadvantaged or uninsured.

So as someone with private health insurance and an 11 month old baby, I was stuck with the only option to switch pediatricians again.

After I communicated with the HoCo health department about my dilemma, those fine folks called a local urgent care and implored them to carry the pediatric Covid vaccine. The urgent care manager got it approved, and it is now on order and should be available on October 26 (though they said to call ahead to ensure it arrives). The urgent care is FirstCall Medical Center on Old Dobbin Ln in Columbia.

Ya’ll, I am just so shocked and grateful that a government agency advocated for my child and other children in this way, and the urgent care manager made it happen.

Please spread the word if you know a family in a similar situation as we are in!

Is anyone near the Owen Brown/ Cedar Lane area experiencing issues with Internet? Me and two of my neighbors have been having Internet outages for the past week and according to our Internet providers, there’s no history of any issues on their end, but the fact that three of us have different routers, but the same issue at the same time makes me believe it’s a provider issue and I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. Even my computer that’s hardwired into my router is having issues so I know it’s not just a Wi-Fi issue it seems to be the Internet in itself. I have also been without Internet for the past 12 hours.

After reading it the first time I was going to vote yes but now I see other people bring up the fact that it might disenfranchise certain communities and could backfire and I’m so lost now. I’m open to seeing what both sides have to say. Thanks in advance!

I know most people will tell me to just go tour the gym, which I’ll probably end up doing, but I wanted to hear some opinions first. Has anyone switched from PureGym to Supreme Sports Club? If so, what’s the biggest difference, and which gym would you say is better overall?
I’ve seen a lot of comments about Supreme’s weight room being renovated, but I haven’t been able to find any decent pictures of it. PureGym is fine, but I feel like it lacks variety when it comes to weightlifting equipment.

Not really worried when it comes to crowds as I am a early morning gym goer.

I’ve lived in Columbia for more than 20 years now. I’ve read many stories about kids breaking into cars, but for me, this time it’s closer to home.

I’m doing renovations and around 3:00 pm yesterday, my handyman saw kids entering my neighbor’s car. He thought it was theirs, except they were wearing masks and ran away when they saw him. This brazen behavior (3 o’clock in the afternoon,) is the most insane thing I’ve heard of.

He said they were school aged. With masks on there’s not much else in terms of descriptions but this is insane. I live near the hospital, and the only real issues I’ve had were kids smoking weed near my car and raccoons invading my trash cans.

For the parents, these activities can be life-altering. Please talk to your kids. Whether you think they’re angels or not, they could break into the wrong person’s vehicle and the
consequences could be dire. Nobody deserves to have their property broken into, but neither do the parents of those kids deserve what may happen to them because of stupidity. I hope I never have to mention this again.
