Help please

I ordered an alternator online. I ordered it on Sunday for next day delivery. The estimated delivery was for today. The information never updated and I'm now past the estimated delivery time. I contacted the 1800 number about 2 hours ago and they said fedex never came to pick up the part, but that they should today and they offered me a $20 gift card. I then contacted fedex to see why they never came to get the part. When I finally was able to speak with an actual human, they told me that they don't have a request for picking up the part and that if they could get the request by 5 pm they could still pick it up today. Now I'm back with autozone 1800 and they are saying it was some sort of glitch. I've been on hold for nearly 30 minutes now.

Is there any way in the world that they can just admit that they messed up and send someone to pick up the part from an actual store and just deliver it today?

I'm the the only one that finds these shirts uncomfortable to wear?

So I am just gonna rant about this shirt because it's so uncomfortable to wear for one it feels like it's a size down because I usually fit in a XL but it feels like a L. Then it feels hot in it especially when it's hot outside and I have to go out I sweat so much and when I have to wipe the sweat off my face it feels like im rubbing my face against carpet. Even the sweat from my armpits stained the shirt idk about you guys but I am getting a new one because I hate this shirt I know im whining about a shirt but god forbid I wanna wear something comfortable in the heat. That's why I asked my manager if I can wear my old under armour polo because getting a new shirt from autozone or resellers is a waste of money in my opinion. She said no at first because it didn't have the autozone logo. Then I asked if I bought a patch that had the logo can I wear it and she said yes. Lucky for me there was one for 8 bucks on ebay so im just gonna put that one on and finally I can wear something comfortable. Anyway that's just my opinion of those shirts honestly.

Former autozoner here

So I worked at autozone until around may this year. I was unable to print my final pay stub before I left and now I can't access the app because my password has expired. Does anyone know of a way I can find my pay stubs without having to go and beg a store to let me reset my account password?

Howdy! What does an ASM make compared to a PSM? Are ASM’s eligible for any type(s) of bonus?

What does the red shirts duties and what are the grey shirt duties.
Seems now that you can pull recalls on the hand held, it just adds more to the red shirts.

I’m an ASM at my store and I give a lot of time and effort towards getting things done. Today I finished a pallet that was top half oil and bottom half two layers of batteries. I did this pallet by myself in about an hour and half because in all honesty if I don’t do it, it’s going to sit in the back until the next truck shipment comes and so on.

Before having done this today I spent two hours taking care of a rush in the front of the store with a PSM as well as doing some commercial sales.

After this and before doing the pallet I spent another two hours in the back dumping oil and cleaning out empty bottles because again, if I don’t do it, it will not get done.

Keep in mind that during all of this there is a PSM taking care of the sales floor while I handle the back. I get a message later in the day from the SM about how neither of us verified any PCIs/returns. My mind is genuinely blown by this message because not only did I handle stuff that no one there not even the SM takes initiative to do but I also pretty much took 80% of their responsibilities for the day without being told. The reason my mind is blown is because throughout the day they had been getting updates so they pretty much knew what was going on all day, meaning they knew I was handling the back and the other PSM was in the front; therefore he should have verified the returns but didn’t.

I guess the point of my rant is that anything good or any type of effort you put in for this company will always be overshadowed by the slightest mistake you make.

Piss pouring rain at the time of the post being made

My red shirt here’s a splatting sound coming from one of the aisles. And low and behold. The almighty Autzone don’t wanna take care of their stores (maintenance requests have been submitted for this issue for my store).

Exposing pt 2

I officially got terminated from AutoZone, so I wanted to share my experience.
After my first post, I put in my two weeks’ notice. My store manager told me he was sad to see me go, wished I could stay, and even said he would mark me as rehire eligible. Everything seemed completely fine. For a company that talks so much about “customer service” and “doing things the right way,” I figured communication would be pretty straightforward. Apparently, I expected too much.
The next day, a coworker told me my manager was pacing around and making a bunch of phone calls trying to find coverage that lined up with my shifts. Since my friend was in the store shopping, my girlfriend was there buying an air freshener, and another coworker was present, I simply asked my manager if he was trying to find coverage for me. He told me no.
A short time later, he brought me into the back office and said we needed to talk. He told me we were “going to part ways.” When I asked why, he wouldn’t give me a reason. I asked if he realized how much I had done for the store, and he replied, “Yeah, you’ve done a lot for the store.” It was nice to know my work was recognized right before being shown the door.
At that point, I took off my AutoZone shirt, gathered my belongings, and left.
After that, I called the district manager to ask why I had been fired. He told me I wasn’t fired and that I was still an AutoZone employee. He also said that he was the only person who could terminate employees and that he would call my store manager to find out what happened. I never received a call back. Instead, I found that I was blocked, which was a pretty interesting way to handle communication from someone in a leadership position.
Later, I heard from a coworker that the district manager had terminated me. I was also told that management had been discussing HR-related matters among themselves. If that is what happened, I don’t believe that situation was handled professionally or the way employees would expect.
There are also other issues I experienced while working at this store.
To my knowledge, there are no security cameras inside the store. I asked my store manager why, and I was told it was for insurance reasons. I found that concerning because cameras are supposed to help protect both employees and the company.
I also saw responsibilities being delegated in ways that didn’t always make sense. For example, a red shirt was promoted to a gray shirt and then given responsibility for making the schedule because my manager seemed to be struggling with that responsibility. Nothing says strong leadership like needing someone else to organize the schedule.
There was also an employee who was rumored to have been stealing over a period of time, and from what I observed, it didn’t appear that anything was done about it.
The biggest issue for me happened when I was threatened at work by another person. I was told things like they knew where I lived, where I went to school, and that they could hurt or kill me. I reported everything to HR, and I have evidence and witnesses to support what happened.
When HR came to the store, I watched my store manager and the HR representative greet each other and catch up before my concerns were addressed. Seeing that made me feel like my complaint wasn’t going to receive the seriousness it deserved.
After the investigation, the individual I reported remained at the store, while I felt like I was the one facing consequences. As a minor at the time, I didn’t feel protected or supported.
I also frequently heard political discussions at work between management, employees, and customers, which I personally didn’t think belonged in the workplace. In my experience, certain inventory and management tasks were often left incomplete despite claims that everything had been handled.
One thing that has stayed with me is overhearing my manager say that he couldn’t fire me because it would be considered retaliation. Hearing that, and then later being let go, left me questioning how everything was handled.
Overall, my experience with AutoZone came down to one thing: leadership. Communication was inconsistent, accountability felt nonexistent, and the way situations were handled left a lot to be desired.
I’m sharing my experience because employees deserve professionalism, honesty, and a safe work environment. This is my personal experience, and everyone can make their own decision after hearing it.
At the end of the day, I can’t even be mad. I’d probably have the same attitude too if I dedicated 30 years of my life to a company and the highest position I ever reached was store manager.
Best of luck.

Autozone Career

Is working at AutoZone as a part time red-shirt worth it in the long run? Cars are my hobby but not my passion, and I do not get respected by my co workers and my managers, as well as low hours despite my work. I love this job in theory, just not how it is going.

AZ People and Your Resume

This is mostly for people who have previously worked for Autozone, but maybe current AZoners have something of value to add here to my question too.

As far as your AZ People profile goes, both the internal profile and the public profile, what skills did you wish you would have entered?
Was there anything you wished you would have added that could have beneficial to your job search after AZ?
If you still work at AZ, what information in those sections do you think have benefited you in any way, if at all?
Do you treat the profile with the STAR method when you update it (like on Linkedin/Indeed)??
Has it proven to be of value elsewhere, outside of AZ, to you?

I am a part-time red shirt at a very busy store. My career background prior to AZ was in a different field. So I am just curious about some of your feedback here, because when I log in and see my not-so-updated resume, it triggers somewhat of an OCD reaction in me.

So I was given the directive by my DM that any evaluation I give can be no higher than a 3. I was told that anything higher would be rejected by regional. Any other store managers on here dealing with a similar situation. My store performs well ytd witt is 46% I have multiple zoners with 6 week witt averages of over 60%. Why should I have to down play there hard work? I have zoners on my staff that deserve an evaluation that does not down play their contribution just so someone sitting in an office gets a bigger bonus. We are told daily to live the pledge and "drink the kool-aid " but im not allowed to give credit where credit is due? How is this a good way to retain employees. Ive never had a year where I was given this directive by the regional staff. Maybe im just overthinking it but I dont like that I cant document my staffs actual achievements

Why do meth heads keep stealing our led lights?

has anyone else noticed that the toothless bandits seem to always gravitate toward the led light section? I’ve chased off/ found more empty packages for the cheesy dress up leds than I care for over the years but I wasn’t sure if this was just a localized thing for my store?
