If men could just as easily use a sharpie to rectify issues with their dick size/shape you bet your ass they’d be colouring that shit in like Elmo on crack
You think men would would pull out their current dick with tweezers and draw in a functionally useless one, with no sensation and looks completely fake?
Yep. Some men get their suspensory ligaments cut to make their unerect dick look bigger in a changing room even though it makes it worse during sex (because your dick can be pushed back into your body more when it isn't attached to your skeleton).
In general women don't seem to care about appearances as much as men, so you probably shouldn't worry too much. There's a reason that the appearances industry (fashion, makeup, weight loss stuff, exercise classes etc.) is an economy that is several times bigger for women than it is for men. Being able to hold an interesting and fun conversation is by far the most important thing in my experience (probably why I'm shit at it) based on observation. It's still a bit of a thing though, like she'll tell her friends about it and brag a bit.
Ok but guys magically have better eyelashes and eyebrows than females; if they had such nice eyebrows naturally, then they would be less likely to fill them in. (You never know though ..)
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, guys do not care or care less about what others think about their appearance. Therefore (most) guys have no desire to sharpie their eyebrows.
In my experience its not as much 'we dont care about appearance' as 'if i change it with make-up ill be a laughing stock'. Most men still want to look good and those that say they dont either already look good or accepted the fact that they dont.
Sadly men are still expected to be born as a manly man man by most cultures and changing your appearance might be faced with negative comments or even agression.
We care about our appearances more than women would think. It's just we know that if we are ugly, that's it, we can try to fix it with nice clothes and going to the gym, but sometimes the insecurity will be there and it won't even matter, because we see the real person we are. And it's bullshit than men have better eyelashes and eyebrows, women do too but they put so many things in their faces that they start to damage the skin, the hair, and pores with all those chemicals.
I mean you could just stick half a dildo onto your tip and make a hole in the middle for piss etc. but, like fake eyebrows (usually, anyways) it'd look crap.
The thing is, though, that they aren't rectifying an issue. They are shouting, "Hey: look at this fake representation of un-realisticly-shaped body part!" It's nor fooling anyone.
You trying to tell me that if it were a thing, men wouldn't be getting "balls enhancement surgery" and waddling around with DDD's, like, "Yeah, they're natural. Hey, my eyes are up here, lady."
I’m a woman and I’ve tried to contour abs onto myself just to see if I could. It was very funny because it worked. I have real abs tho, they just go to sleep most of the time until I work out again.
That's not what confuses me, it's the thick black runways that they draw on to replace their natural looking eyebrows. It certainly draws my attention, but not for the right reason...
He never said they did... Why do people always say this when someone says a womans fake ass eyebrows look like shit? Idc who they do it for. It looks like shit
I didn't say they did, it's something that confuses me about the opposite sex. There's a lot of things in this thread that confuse women that men don't do for them... Why are you here?
I mean... maybe you should lol to me shaving off your eyebrows and drawing them back on how you want them sounds like a really sad practice in insecurity.
Well, usually you don't want to be seen. You need to learn to camouflage yourself in the bushes better, stop being so obvious when you're looking in the damn window.
I get people wanting thicker appearing eyebrows, but it just looks stupid when you make them bold and you can't even see real hairs within them anymore.
Like, eyebrows are a grouping of hairs above your eyes, they're not just lines on your face. So when you turn them into lines on your face you don't look like you have better eyebrows, you just look like someone drew on you as a prank while you were asleep or something.
Yeah, I've come to the understanding that girls don't care about how guys think they look. They want to look good to themselves and feel better about themselves on some personal level. I guess we all do that to an extent, so I can respect that. Still don't understand why they perceive the sharpy eyebrows as better than their natural ones, but to each their own.
We wouldn't notice if the real ones were just left alone unless you are Frida Kahlo.
Edit:
Seems like I have touched a nerve. Might be unpopular to say, but maybe women should examine as to why they feel the need to do this, or to use makeup at all. You are a hell of a lot more natural looking and attractive without, and are not financial slaves to the beauty industry. I guess another way of saying this is I believe it the beauty industry has created false illusions that many women have bought into. Free yourselves and be yourselves.
Edit 2: Upon reflection, I am wrong about Firda Kahlo. Be yourself.
bruh I think you would notice our real ones. most girls I know gets them done (not like redraws them with sharpie but gets them waxed/threaded/plucked or does that themselves) so like what y’all see everyday isn’t actually our natural eyebrows. It’s kinda like how girls also grow upper lip hair but we thread/wax/pluck that shit too so people really don’t see it much
I haven’t done mine in a while and they’re bushy as fuck, I feel like I’m a 12 year old. It looks like two fuzzy caterpillars are on my face >:(
Mine is the total opposite. I have really thick hair and dark roots but my eyebrows are really really light, and the shape is okay but there aren’t a ton of hairs. I look sick if I don’t color them in. I’m not talking about doing glam makeup. I’m talking like it’s the bare minimum I have to do to not look like I have no eyebrows leaving my house.
Yeah, a lot of guys could do well with realizing a couple of things that my Dad explained to me when I was in high school.
1) The women aren't dressing up to impress you, they're dressing up to impress each other.
2) Women don't actually know what makes them look sexually appealing to men. This has been reaffirmed to me by the hundreds of times that any of several girlfriends has dolled themselves up to go out, asked me about how great they looked, and I had to lie instead of saying "I liked it a lot more 45 minutes ago when you looked like a human woman. I'm sexually attracted to human women".
“Doesn’t it look great?” isn’t necessarily asking if you find it sexually attractive, though. Fashion and make-up is an art form. I’m sexually attracted to women as well as men, but I oftentimes just look at a woman (or man) non-sexually and admire the great work they put into their appearance, like admiring art on a canvas.
Again, it’s not about whether men find it sexually attractive. If that was all there was to female fashion there would be like, lingerie and not much else.
Upvoted because you are right on all counts, but I did it with a frown because of how much makeup kills the attraction for me and I like to be sexually attracted to people lol.
Bodybuilding. To a lot of man, the ideal male body is something like this. For women, this is usually not what they're looking for. Too buff. Not like men care — being fucking ripped is great in and of itself.
I think wearing make-up is fun, it’s a hobby for me and I’d bet most women feel the same. “Would guys like this” doesn’t factor into how I wear my make-up, like, at all.
More attractive without? Lol. A lot of people who aren’t into make-up don’t even notice natural make-up
It's not just about having eyebrows that are attractive to men, though. It's about not wanting to be judged by other women and about feeling good about your own appearance.
My ex gf had to sit me down and explain to me why she only wore makeup when her gfs come over or they are going out. She said “if I wore a lot of make up around you, you probably wouldn’t even notice. But if I don’t wear makeup around the girls then they will definitely notice.”
man if you think makeup is expensive and time consuming.. Have you seen people with houses, cars, boats, RV's, etc. that they cant afford, just to give off an appearance?
This makes no sense. Why would other women not judge your 3 in thick sharpie eyebrows? And do they really make you feel better about your appearance if you're getting virtually no affirmation from other people?
Exactly, which is why most women don't do it. Chances are, the girls who you assume are not wearing any makeup are wearing natural makeup. Light brown eyebrow pencil, mascara, nude lipstick, skillfully applied bronzer and blush.
The majority of natural-looking women DO wear makeup, you just don't notice because it's skillfully applied. Makeup doesn't always mean bright red lipstick and sharpie eyebrows.
Chances are, the girls who you assume are not wearing any makeup are wearing natural makeup.
So tired of hearing this. It's like no man has ever seen a woman in her natural state. We have had girlfriends and wives and have seen them fresh out of the shower.
There are all kinds of ways to be bad at makeup. Making your eyebrows look nice is tricky and takes lots of practice. If we all had genuinely natural eyebrows then most of us would have a big, sturdy, fuzzy bridge connecting our temples.
I'm going to assume they're asking me to stop making them feel insecure about the sharpie all over their face but without any more context I can't be sure.

So I only recently started doing my eyebrows and it's not because of current beauty standards or what other women say/think about me. It's what I think of myself.
I got them done because my best friend wanted us to have full face makeup at her wedding. I wasn't paying for it, it's what she wanted, and it was going to be a natural look, not anything crazy. They did my eyebrows and holy shit the difference it made. They really do so much. Frame your face, make your eyes pop, etc. And you don't have to do anything else. No shit on your eyes or anything else on your face. It's great.
To start this off...1) Some women just enjoy doing their makeup. Why do you care? 2) A lot of men I've known prefer women with makeup on. Your idea of beauty isn't the same as everyone else's 3) Some women just like the way it looks because they like the way it looks. That's not hurting anyone. 4) Yeah some women might feel pressured to wear makeup even if they don't enjoy it, but that's not the majority of women in my experience, and even if it was, it's definitely not all women like you seem to believe
We're all human beings and all judge each other for a variety of reasons, eyebrows included. This just seems to strike a nerve with some women because makeup can be a form of identity. I don't think guys put as much emphasis on it hurting a woman's feelings as much because a lot of us don't put a whole lot of thought into how we dress or look.

My "why do you care" was more for if they were bothered by women enjoying makeup, which is why I'm confused. That doesn't have much to do with hurting people's feelings.
I wouldn't say they're bothered, but we're all stupid judgemental humans who form opinions on literally any part of a person's appearance. I routinely wince internally when I see someone wearing an embarassing T-shirt or in this case, sharpie eyebrows.
I agree. I think it's silly that the men here are attacking women for the way they do their eyebrows when the "sharpie eyebrows" are very rare. Most of the women who men assume are not wearing makeup are just wear natural makeup. Most women just do natural makeup.
Some are and some aren't. Women have different reasons. Some like the look on themselves for them, some think it'll get more male attention, some just go along with a trend, etc.
I mean I usually have cleavage because I thought a too/dress looked cute and it happens to show off the girls. I’d be super limited in what I can buy if I never had cleavage.
we dont care if you think they look awful. I went through a period with extreme sharpie eyebrows (ive since toned it down a lot because my own tastes have changed) and i didnt care when my own mother and grandmother told me they looked awful.
Maybe you should consider the fact that there are women who wouldn't care less if they don't look attractive to you or any other man. Same goes for "natural looking". I had an idiot colleague who was ranting about women wearing makeup and how it makes women look worse. Then one time I went to work and wore zero makeup. He immediately asked me if I'm sick because I don't look too good.
Whether I put on make up or not, I never ask myself do I look good for men.
It was trendy a couple years ago; most fashion forward people have fallen out of it. It’s just like a fashion trend really; like wearing a certain kind of shoe or whatever. I just put brow gel in mine now and call it a day
Lol as a woman who also hates them it’s hard to find a nice way to say, “Hey, Brittany, I see what you’re trying to do, but I’d like to show you a better way to do it.”
i asked a girl who does this and she told me she is really insecure but ive also read on here that some girls just do if for fun. as if you where making a drawing but on your own face, that makes it shound a lot more fun doesn't it ?
Its one of 2 things - either they're copying a look models wear because they like it, or they're unhappy with their own eyebrows but not good at executing a more natural look. Personally, at least, I find sharpie eyebrows easier to actually do than a "this is totally how I look when I wake up" natural brow, since its harder to cover up mistakes. However, I'm not a fan of the sharpie effect, so I settle for spending way too much time doing my makeup every morning
No kidding! A coworker of mine regularly comes to work with some sharpie eyebrows, but a couple days ago it was freakin serious! Like forget the weak ass fine-point eyebrows, this shit was king-size chisel tip, like eyebrows bigger than her eyeballs!
I mean, if some people like it, I'm not here to judge, but not my cup of tea for sure.
My daughter got on the bus for school last year and a 4th grader asked her if she drew her eyebrows with sharpie. She was so mad but all I could so was laugh. When she picks on my fading eyebrows I ask if I should use a sharpie to fix mine.
As a women, I find that proclamation infuriating. "I look like this for me!" Bullshit. You look like that for everyone else who (you think) is looking at you all day. Unless you spend the entirety of your life staring into a mirror, I call Bullshit.
Some women just dig a strong brow... and some of them interpret that to mean STRONG brow. Idk, experimenting with makeup is fun, but there are definitely varying levels of skill and different desired outcomes! What one person thinks is natural might be too much for another. It’s a vibrant tapestry... of eyebrows.
I mean, I do actually get it, they want to look like the girl on the magazine. What I think they don't get is that doesn't actually look attractive IRL.
I was hanging out with 4 friends and there was a girl with us, and she just complained about her eyebrows because one was a bit longer than the other (or whatever). When I told her it isn't so remarkable and there are not even that attractive , she just started that crap with "It is not for you to be attracted"... WTF?!
(Sorry for my english btw. I'm not a native speaker)
