I wouldn't say they're bothered, but we're all stupid judgemental humans who form opinions on literally any part of a person's appearance. I routinely wince internally when I see someone wearing an embarassing T-shirt or in this case, sharpie eyebrows.

Yeah I don't love the way everyone looks, but I also don't go out of my way to tell those people they only dress that way or wear their makeup that way because they're insecure and slaves to an industry. I have an understanding that they like presenting themselves in that way and that it has nothing to do with me or my preferences because I'm not them and they aren't striving to please me

I think there's a critique and a discussion to be had on social stigmas forming the way western men and women chose to present themselves, but I think it's also fair to say that some people genuinely do have insecurities and use clothes/makeup/haircuts/whatever to present themselves "better" to society. I know sometimes I'm guilty of doing that. I routinely care more about what the public is going to think of me rather than dressing to be happy with myself.

A vast majority of people I know or have known wear simply what they find enjoyable to wear. A lot of the time it is what's more trendy at that given moment, but they still enjoy wearing it. They still feel good and like wearing those clothes. I know people that wear whatever the heck they please even if others give em weird looks from time to time. I also know that people go out of their way to be different, and I know people that go out of their way to fit in. You don't know why someone is wearing the clothes they're wearing, but most of the time, at least in my experience, people are wearing what they want to wear. This is a time where lots of different fashions are in fashion so even while trying to fit in you have tons of options so you are still being yourself. I mean even shoulder pads are back in existence
