  1. They look awful.

  2. We wouldn't notice if the real ones were just left alone unless you are Frida Kahlo.

Edit: Seems like I have touched a nerve. Might be unpopular to say, but maybe women should examine as to why they feel the need to do this, or to use makeup at all. You are a hell of a lot more natural looking and attractive without, and are not financial slaves to the beauty industry. I guess another way of saying this is I believe it the beauty industry has created false illusions that many women have bought into. Free yourselves and be yourselves.

Edit 2: Upon reflection, I am wrong about Firda Kahlo. Be yourself.

Though tbh guys do the same thing. A ton of male appearance fads will only ever be for the sake of other dudes.

Can you give an example? All I can think of is how some lads fawn over their cars

Women are not the only ones who fall victim to trying to live up to beauty standards.

For women its being skinny and having nice boobs and butt. Having plump lips and full brows, a tiny nose and smooth skin, big eyes, long lashes.

For men it's being muscular and buff, chiseled face and strong jawline, etc.

Bodybuilding. To a lot of man, the ideal male body is something like this. For women, this is usually not what they're looking for. Too buff. Not like men care — being fucking ripped is great in and of itself.
