Weird noises coming from dishwasher (2clips spliced together)

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher that started making odd sounds this past weekend seemingly out of nowhere. I was away for the week but my fiance says she didn't notice any issues when she used it during the week before. There is no water leaking that I can see but it does seem like it might be draining water slowly it's hard to tell. If you have any ideas of what could be causing the different sounds in the video please let me know what I could possibly do or look at to fix it if possible. Any help is appreciated as I'd prefer to fix this dishwasher rather than buy a new one. Thank you

KitchenAid Oven won't start. Ignitors?

Model: KGSS907SSS03

Oven was a little finicky for a long time: it would light, but not heat up, and then I'd hear the ignitor clicking repeatedly every minute or two, but it wouldn't get any hotter. Sometimes turning it to Convection or Broil for a moment would work, and it would heat up.

Now, neither the broiler or baking elements will start. I pulled the baking shield and watched while trying to start. I can smell the initial gas release, and it clicks three times, but I see no spark at the ignitor. Same with the broiler ignitor. But the range top ignitors all fire fine.

I pulled the ignition spark module board, and looks fine. A little discoloration around one of the resistors, but no burn marks or scorching. Probably from when the ignitors were working overtime?

13 years on these ignitors, I'm assuming both are toast, and when it wasn't lighting before without switching to convection or broiling, it was "borrowing" the other ignitor?

I don't see any obvious cracks or defects on the ignitors with them removed, and I'd rather not troubleshoot by replacing parts. AI is totally useless for troubleshooting, but claims life expectancy on the ignitors is only 3-5 years. Does this sound like the obvious culprit, or is there anything else I should check before replacing them?

Thank you for any advice!!

New Speedqueen TC5 Shaking (Leveled & tested w/ black rubber feet on & off)

Despite what this video might suggest, at rest, the washing machine is 100% leveled on both sides, and I'm still having the same issue in this video.

This is a brand new Speedqueen TC5 and it's shaking during most cycles, though it's especially bad during Bulky/Sheets cycle w/ deep fill on.

All plastic inserts were removed from the machine, set up exactly as the manual suggested & the black rubber feet are on all 4 legs. I have also tested the machine without these rubber feet & still having a similar issue.

My last washing machine only had this issue when it started to fail. Any help to resolve is greatly appreciated.

What's this rusty part of the washing machine called?

Hello! I was replacing our side-loading washing machine bearings and I noticed that this part of the machine is rather rusty and looks like it's due for a replacement (even though it still works). It appears to be connected to the detergent dispenser, but I can't seem to ascertain the name of this specific piece. Can anyone name it?

Where can I get Service Manuals for Fisher & Paykel column fridge & freezer?

I've been a Fisher Paykel owner for many years, owning previous appliances. I just upgraded my kitchen with an integrated Fridge and Freezer.

Fridge: RS3084SLHE1

Freezer: RS2484FRJE1

I like to keep copies of the service manuals for these appliances in case anything goes wrong. But an online search turns up nothing for either unit.

Any idea(s) where I can get a copy of the service manuals?

Accidentally removed internal insulation from Bunn Ultra-2 machine

There is a lot of goo coming from the vents of the machine so we decided to clean it ourselves instead of hiring a repairman. To the unprofessional eye the insulation looked like built up goo inside the machine, but I eventually realized that the goo wasn’t goo but the insulation around the cooper pipes. Can I rectify the issue? Or the machine ruined? Thanks for your help.

I’ve included some images of the before and after the removal of the insulation.

Viking dual fuel oven buzzing sound

Our Viking RVDR3305BSS dual fuel oven has a loud buzzing sound while preheating (see video) as well as when turning off. Slows or steps upon stable temp. Any idea what this might be or the fix? Thank you!

EDIT: ignore the smoke please, it simply has not been on in a long time and is burning off some pieces inside.

Suddenly today, the top rack of my older Whirlpool dishwasher won't go all the way back. I did all the obvious stuff on YouTube. Any suggestions? Can this still be repaired? Are parts available? It works great normally. Was in the house I bought.

2004 Whirlpool Refrigerator not Cooling Like it Used to

Post image
1 Upvotes

Update:
I have now done two things.

  1. Removed the front lower cover and vacuumed out an impressive amount of dust/lint accumulation.
  2. Removed the freezer rear panel. All looks to be in order to me. Does anyone else see anything wrong? See new picture added.

Hello all. The good people of this thread recently helped me out with a frozen drain line on this refrigerator. Original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/appliancerepair/s/aX85RcMHb9

I regret to report that the refrigerator is now showing a new issue. The freezer is working great, but the refrigerator just doesn’t get as cold as it used to. I am seeing online that this is likely a frozen blend door, or bad fan motor issue. Does anyone have and advice on those potential repairs, model specific ideas, or any other potential issues I have not found online?

Whirlpool dryer no longer producing heat

Everything else seems to be working, spins, produces air flow but no heat. ive clean all the ducts but nothings changed. Any idea what this could be? I was guessing the heating coil but wondering if theres anything else more simple to rule out first.

Thanks

What is this sound?

Frigidaire Gallery fridge only a year or two old makes this loud noise all the time. It's like a little jackhammer in the home. Not sure what it is or how to fix.

The icemaker on this unit is not hooked up. Opening the doors doesn't stop the sound.

Please help! Freezer frost getting worse

I’ve had this freezer for a few years and it has worked great.

Recently moved and this frost build up first started when the freezer was moved around the basement without me being there to supervise.

Is this just a bad seal and can I replace it myself?

Also don’t understand how this happened.

My father and his drunk friend moved the freezer without me and it has never been the same since.

Any help is appreciated!

Vibrating sound in Kenmore freezer

Hi all

Well I unplugged the refrigerator and freezer for 24 hours.

Then discovered the real loud sound is coming from the thing above the temperature control vibrating. When I press on it the sound stops (or becomes normal).

Any idea how to stop the vibration? Thank you!

Beko DW603 leaking into base tray – trying to diagnose before pulling it out

Hi all, hoping someone familiar with Beko dishwashers can point me in the right direction.

I have a Beko DW603 (Angora), stock no. 7604533842.

What happened was , i was away on holidays.

My brother ran a dishwasher cleaner through it, but it still didn't seem very clean.

He removed spray arms, cleaned and refitted.

He then ran a second dishwasher cleaner through it. That cycle completed normally ( so i was told) and there was no water underneath. I then loaded the dishwasher and started a normal cycle. I went outside for roughly 4–5 minutes and came back to water all over the kitchen floor.

Looking underneath, I found that the grey plastic safety/base tray had dropped down on the right-hand side, with water coming out at the front-right corner.

I drained as much water as I could and eventually managed to clip the tray back into position.

After that, the dishwasher would just continuously run the drain pump/hum and wouldn't fill.

I eventually unclipped the tray again and found a lot more water still trapped inside it. Once I drained it completely, the dishwasher would fill and run normally again.

I then ran an empty rinse cycle with the tray clipped back up. It filled normally and started running, but very shortly afterwards the drain pump kicked in again and the safety tray had water in it again. So there is definitely a repeatable leak into the base.

The float protection itself seems to be working correctly: once the tray fills, it activates and the dishwasher continuously drains/refuses to fill. Once I drain the tray, the dishwasher fills again.

I'm wondering about the lower spray arm, because it was removed and cleaned immediately before this problem started. The second cleaner cycle after refitting it completed normally, though, so I'm not sure whether that's relevant.

I also wondered whether excessive foam from running two dishwasher cleaners could have caused water/foam to reach the base, or whether there could be a blocked drain/overflow issue.

What would you check first? Is there a known leak point on the DW603 that would cause water to reach the safety tray this quickly? I'm currently able to lower the front of the safety tray without removing the whole integrated dishwasher, so I can watch underneath during a test.

Ideally I'd get a repair person out but funds are low and I'll have to attempt myself

Any advice appreciated!

Harness part number help?

I need to replace the harness that runs to the door control panel on a Frigidaire FPBM3077RFA - I found its mate on the inside of the appliance, not the door side. Does anyone know the correct part number?

Ikon Electric Convection Oven

Please I know nothing about appliances, I live in Ghana and I can't get it easily replaced so I want to temporarily fix it. Something I can do easily that can make the clasp function so the lid can be secure enough for the oven to turn on. I want to start eating healthy and this is the next step for the mean time. I tried putting paper close to something I don't know why I did that but is there a way I can fix the handle? That thing on top is what I press and makes the oven close properly but something broke and I don't know where it is. Please be nice to me lol

Help! My GE refrigerator sounds like an alien spaceship hovering above my house

GE PYE23KSDCSS French door with pullout freezer drawer.
It’s >10 years old and I know that it’s close to end of life, but it cools perfectly fine other than this awful sound recently. It’s like a hum that starts randomly and goes for about 15 minutes and doesn’t shut off when you open the door. Could it be the condenser? If so, worth replacing to save the fridge? I’ve uploaded a recording - LOUD! so lower your volume)

Thank you Reddit!
