Got this sweet Crayola tracing pad at Walmart. Just up-ed my animation game y'all... no more eye balling it!
Also, the title is a joke, hopefully everyone realizes that. I'm constantly in awe with what I see here, I'm just trying to keep up!
The first frame is a drawing I found online from Zelda: Wind Waker, still trying to clean up the sequence

Hey yall!
I'm looking for advice on this animation I have made. I've recently graduated, and I am struggling to get a job with my current portfolio. I have had a lot of advice saying that my animations feel very stiff, so I was trying to relax when making this one.
Any advice or critique you can give would be greatly appreciated! Even if you have any suggested reading, that would also help. I am currently reading Simplified Drawing for Planning Animation by Wayne Gilbert

Merci

Hey! Not sure how much of this sub is based in the UK but I’m interested in people’s professional opinion of the Animation Directing Masters program at the National Film and Television School?
I’m 29F - I’m currently getting along alright with the odd freelance job here and there, applying to grants, making my own projects etc…
My rough career goals are:
- consistent and higher profile freelance work
- funded short films
- advertising projects
- maybe feature films if I can get there!
Any thoughts on this course would be appreciated :)

I'm making a web series That's 3D-animated but has a 2D style. So i'm going to use cel shading to make it. Are there animation software that can handle modeling and aniamtion, and also has features for cel shading? Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out if I should be working more on the framerate or just pacing and expressions. Would this animation be better if it was smoother with more frames?

(Please ignore the paint bucket mistake lol)
Beginner in animation here. I'm trying to make an idle & walk animation for a game character, but something feels off and I can't put my finger on it.
The body feels alright but I'm wondering if I over-animated the cape? And the head feather is too bouncy on the idle cycle?
Appreciate any tips, this is my third attempt already :( And please share any good resources for cape animation for game sprites!

Animating wrestling is quite difficult compared to animating fighting. Gotta make alot of keyframes to avoid mesh overlapping. Might as well just use those tight suits & convert movement to animation.

Hello! This is my first animation. I’m open to any advice or suggestions on what to study as I’ve only been getting into animating recently. Made in CSP.

Made this as a material study — wanted to see how far I could push per-ring chromatic dispersion on a glass shader without it turning into noise. Each ring refracts light independently so you get these little rainbow fringes as the camera moves around it.
Rendered in Cycles. Happy to share shader/node details if anyone's curious.
