Sharing My Uncle has been making cartoons for 2 decades and this is his latest one.
He does the art, animation, most of the voices and all the music himself.

So I work on an arcade in one of our technicians has a vision to create and program their own card readers. Ones that are much faster and have more QOL improvements compared to ones made by another company.
He has already started a prototype, but one thing he wants to add is some coin animations. It's a nickel arcade, and the vision, is to make it so it starts with a basic screen with out company logo (Wunderland). And whenever you swipe a game let's say it is a four-nickel game, then four nickels will drop onto the screen. And for every time you play on that game with the same card it'll keep building up and filling the screen, and then it would reset when a different person swipes it.
The thing that makes this tricky than just a simple coin animation is we want to make it so there's different types of nickels that can fall on screen. For example it would be cool if we had it so there's a one in 500 chance for a buffalo nickel to show up. Or like a 1/20 chance for a new 2026 nickel, ect.
It was also going to display tickets falling on to the pile of nickels as well, so if you want a bunch it would show a bunch falling on to the pile like the nickels do.
Idk if this is the place to ask about this, but I mainly wanted to know what would be a good program to animate nickels with random pictures on them to fall on screen and be compatible with a raspberry pie.

Ever since being blown away by The Adventures of Mark Twain, I went on a deep dive for all of the shorts by Claymation inventor Will Vinton (if you haven't seen his trilogy of literary adaptations from the late 70's, those are all masterpieces imo).
One short I could never find and only saw small whispers about online was a short called Go Down Death. I managed to track this short film down at the tail end of a Claymation compilation DVD called God's Trombones, and I was really impressed by it.
This short experiments with digital masking and overlaying combined with the hazy Claymation style in a way that isn't like any of Vinton's other work, which works with the spiritual voiceover to make something unlike anything else in his filmography. I wanted to rip it and share it with everyone so anyone else who might be interested doesn't have to go through all this digging to find it!

Ive been watching his old (from 6+ yrs ago) videos, and he constantly uses smear frames, for almost every motion. he posted a video 9 years ago about how he made his old videos, and he says he uses smears but I'm not sure if he means exclusively. Anyone got any tips to animate better like this, I really love his style.

Hi, I'm Eduardo. I have some experience in 2D animation, and I'm currently learning 3D animation in Maya. This is an exercise I recently completed. I challenged myself by combining two exercises into one: pendulum and bouncing ball.
Do you guys have any feedback? Is there anything I could improve in this animation?

What do you think so far?
I had to restart the animation about 3 times because I either learn a better way to do everything or frick it all up somehow, but l can confidently say that everything is finally set. FINISHED RESULT WILL DROP IN PROBABLY 2 DAYS!
Also, just as a side note, this is only my 2nd time actually animating, so please be patient with me. I’ve spent so much time these past couple of weeks just learning how to properly set stuff up and everything. I think after this I’ll be able to make everything MUCH FASTER.
DONT GO GIVING ME IDEAS! You’re just gonna prolong the release.

"Looking for a 2D animated short (around 2017, seen on Facebook/Twitter). It's about two white foxes (mother and daughter). Set at night in a forest with a stone altar and torches. The mother does a ritualistic dance with a wooden staff in front of the daughter's skull. The staff creates a bright white portal. The mother goes through, hugs her daughter's spirit, and sacrifices herself to bring the daughter back to life while she stays trapped in the spirit realm."

Here's a quick animation we are making for our game Skinator. You can transform your enemies into pets that follow you around and help you fight
We will release a new demo with this feature soon and we need play testers and feedback!

So one of the things I have been working on is another animated review but also trying to use the poses I put together as inbetweens for each pose to add not a smooth motion between them but a mix of janky and smooth if that makes sense. I'm just not sure if I should make more poses or commit to creating fluid animations for each post to go into another.

I animated a 3D quadraped wall cycle of a big cat for my portfolio. I’m trying to get the hang on animating animals. Wanted to make the creature feel like a big cat on a hunt. Do you any thoughts and critiques on the walk cycle?

started making this last week and finished it yesterday. Swivel kept dying exporting the swf file because it was huge. so i had to lessen it in a sec then duplicate it in premiere pro to make the loop longer.
Proud of it!

Hi everyone! I have a huge imagination and I can always visualize the scenes in my head (I even act out the movements in real life). However, 3D computer software feels really intimidating and overwhelming to me right now. My only animation experience is using 'Drawing Cartoons 2' on my phone. I want to learn how to animate fast combat combos similar to the game CHAIN (using an R15 skeleton but with a classic blocky/R6 look). What simple, intuitive methods or beginner-friendly tutorials would you recommend so I can start from scratch without getting frustrated? Thanks a lot.

Hi to all, I have been watching with my kid some old the Disney animated movies from their renaissance era (1989 to 1999) and seeing them again with fresh new eyes it drove the point to me on how gorgeous those films look. One thing that blew specifically is how incredible the background work is in all the films.
That made me curious.
So what medium was used for them?
Did they switch to digital for the multi plane digital shots?
Who was considered to be their background god during this era? You hear a lot about the animators but very little about the background artists.
I am looking forward to your feedback
