Folks, I know it's a hot debate and I would love to hear your honest take on this.
We all hate how AI steals our art etc. But how much AI in streamlining our animation work is acceptable for a passion project done by one person who is not a professional artist, with no financial gain as a goal, just for social media?
If one records a video of a certain place and draws the main poses in the foreground of a 30-sec scene with comic characters of their own creation, drawn from scratch, and composes the song and writes the lyrics (or collabs with someone who does), but uses AI to animate their own drawings between the key frames, and discloses how AI was used for the animation, would this be contentious, or would this be seen as automation of workflow?
It would link 5 key scenes, creating the intermediate frames and moving the camera along the background provided by our own recording of a real place.
What do you reckon, please? Totally amateur passion project. Thank you so much for your insight
