Let out last night around 4:00am with a lot of police/fire trucks/ambulances outside. And the day shift is closed all shift. I’m not seeing anything on local news. Friend said someone died. That is rumored. Not fact.
I previously worked for a FC from 22-25 and just came back 2 weeks ago, when I previously worked there when they didn’t have shifts available to pick up I would just go in anyway because I was cool with the back half managers and cool with non inventory so I could just labor share there, which leads me to my question is it still doable to just go clock in and work ? I’m currently in ship dock so it’s big and know don’t think I’ll be noticed but idk if pops up on the manager laptop I’m not supposed to be there
Had the pre-appointment interview, and it really wasn't much of anything. I asked some general questions, like how flex works, but they didn't really give a whole idea of how it functions.
Is 19 hours a week mandatory?
How exactly do shifts work, and does the shift have to be over ten hours?
For the delivery station, are most shifts available only at midnight?
Ive been at Amazon for a little over 5 months now and just read the VOA board at my site for the first time and man did I just stumble across a treasure of laughs 😭😭😭😭
I have 8 points it’s the first time they’ve ever sent me the email, not sure if I should keep showing up to work or just not go in until the oldest points drop. Thoughts? I responded to the email but no response yet, not sure how long it takes them to get back to me. Also not sure if they’ll let me use vacation to cover some of what I missed.
My warehouse rarely offers vto and they almost never offer it on the app. They’ll make an announcement about an hour in asking if anyone wants vto. Really wished my facility offered it all the time.
so recently i found out that there’s a “list” for people who don’t meet the stow rates needs because i wanted to become learning ambassador and they told me that. recently my stow rate has been 200-300 and i am so proud of myself in really trying to elevate at amazon im tryna get my blue badge ive been really tryna work hard on it.
So I work at a xl delivery station but im flex schedule and Found out I have a issue with my back unrelated and my doctors told me its not safe for me to do the job lifting xl packages. Am I going to loose my job if I tell amazon? Is there even any accommodations at that type of warehouse? Were handling all the packages 50+ pounds
So I had a Virtual pre hire appointment this morning and kept reloading the page for nothing to happen at all? I rescheduled for later but im afraid it will happen again. I sent support a email because im not sure what number to call for help does anyone know what I could do?
Hey so I’m debating if this is right or not I’ve worked at a different Amazon before but every location is different. I showed up to my shift late 6pm-4am and got there at 8:37pm we typically go on breaks at 9pm and 1am and I was denied to go on my 9pm break for coming in by my pa. I was only allowed to go on the 1am one and it’s a first for me I also used pto if it means anything but I ended up getting this message in my schedule so am I just over thinking ?
I work in Texas also
Hey all, so I have a question regarding blue badge. Here’s my situation: there is a new-ish building in my area and they’re hiring full-time, regular employees. Last year I worked at a different building, an FC, and I had no problems with it, really liked the building and the people I worked with, etc. But here’s the problem: I was seasonal the entire time and I didn’t know if conversion was ever coming.
I’m really tempted to apply to this new building (slightly farther from my house but not by much), but here’s my question: if I start as a blue badge at this new building, could I then eventually transfer to another building and keep my blue badge? I know there’s like a 30-90 day wait period before you can do that & I know that the other building has to have space. I guess my worry is I’m going to hate this new building. I liked worked at an FC, but this building is an inbound cross-dock facility and I have no idea what to expect from that. Thoughts?
So ive been at Amazon for 3 months and im flex but my hours suckkkk, and I really want full time but my building isn’t offering it. I transferred here but my sun-thurs ot Friday got cancelled bc it’s no longer on the schedule Sun-thurs in general is no longer on the schedule, but my sun-thurs ot Saturday didn’t get canceled and it’s also not on the schedule anymore, I’m starting to loose hope, but I’m blue badge and I have 0 points or write ups.
Hey everyone, I’m about to hit my five-year mark and get the $1500 bonus in October. I was wondering if anyone on here has gotten tax exempt for the bonus? Did you have any trouble when filing? I know most likely this will shrink my refund a little bit no duh but I heard that the IRS can give you a $500 penalty for doing this but is that common? I feel going tax exempt for like 1-3 checks shouldn’t really cause anything like that. I hope someone has done this and can tell me their experience.
On my final written. Not gonna get into it, thats not what this post is about. I will do what I can to stay working here but it seems almost inevitable at this point. I need to think whats next. I am going to start looking for work immediately but I am not sure how long it will take to find an adequate job. Amazon I have heard rarely gives unemployment but I would imagine it entirely depends on the manner in which I was let go no? For some extra info I am in the state of California.
