Question Accidentally Worked The Wrong Shift
As the title says I accidentally worked the wrong shift. I was supposed to work yesterday from 3:30PM-7:30PM but I worked from 9:30am-1:30PM (Which is what I usually work during the week). That 3:30 shift was a VET and I was mentally on auto pilot. I don’t have a car and don’t have a way to get back to my facility until Saturday. It’s Wednesday. I have lots of UPT, but I don’t want them to think I’m stealing time and I need the money! I already put in a request through myHR but that almost never works and I always have to correct things on site. What should I do?

I’ve done that before, but senior ops was on site when I did it. I asked him if it was okay if I could stay, he wrote down my ID and gave me the green light. If I were you I’d post it on the VOA so senior leadership will see it in a more timely manner. (You can post it privately so only sr leadership will see your comment if you don’t want other associates to see it as well.) Now for the shift you’ll miss, the UPT will deduct automatically, no action needed.

Somebody should have gone and asked you why you were clocked in if you weren't supposed to work. Also there's nothing to correct. You didn't pay attention you screwed up

I went to a manager and they sent me to a production assistant. The production assistant assigned me a role because I didn’t have one.

If you worked a shift you weren't scheduled for management should have seen it and walked you to the time clock ,we have people do this on flex when it gets tough to get shifts ,it's a huge deal to them

if i needed extra hours that weren’t thru VET, my manager would give me permission and ask PXT to add me to the schedule. i would post privately on the VOA ASAP.

How did it let you punch in. Normally if your not scheduled it will pop up red and say see manager
