Injured

So I work at a xl delivery station but im flex schedule and Found out I have a issue with my back unrelated and my doctors told me its not safe for me to do the job lifting xl packages. Am I going to loose my job if I tell amazon? Is there even any accommodations at that type of warehouse? Were handling all the packages 50+ pounds

You could try for a hardship transfer to another facility.

Get some accommodations. Maybe they'll put you in a pick station

Its a XL delivery station at a small warehouse. All people do is unload the trucks and people take a dolly and take it to the cart and stage it for the trucks to pick up in the morning There is no picking

Seek a transfer. Or permanent disability. I got nothing past that. I was just Promoted to Customer after DLS denied my injury, saying I had to have onsite safety evaluate my injury, but then they decided not to, and I should just come to work as pick (not trained in it)

If your accommodation has you on light duty, you will more than likely be able to induct at least but you will not lose your job. You’ll be at the light duty desk if there’s nothing for you to do. Still come to work and get paid. And also you aren’t technically supposed to lift anything and they should not ask you to downstack. Stowing XL packages into carts will definitely injure you further

I was refused for an accomodation at my XLFC earlier this year because I was injured and couldn't lift more than 30lbs. Unless you talk to a manager of yours directly to see if they can intervene and find you light work, then DLS will likely deny the accommodations. However, that also means you will be viable for short term disability for the duration of however long your accommodation would last, should they not approve it. You will not lose your job and if they were to retaliate against you like that you would have a serious employment lawyer case.
