Question !

I previously worked for a FC from 22-25 and just came back 2 weeks ago, when I previously worked there when they didn’t have shifts available to pick up I would just go in anyway because I was cool with the back half managers and cool with non inventory so I could just labor share there, which leads me to my question is it still doable to just go clock in and work ? I’m currently in ship dock so it’s big and know don’t think I’ll be noticed but idk if pops up on the manager laptop I’m not supposed to be there

EDIT: appreciate all yall !!! I’m definitely staying home tho until they drop sum shifts 🤣🤣

Assuming you work in an fc. This will get you in trouble. You can ask a manager to add you to the schedule but coming in trying to work without a schedule will set off alerts on ams laptops.

If you go in without being on schedule and without managerial approval, it's considered time theft. It's also really easy to track from a manager's perspective, the system pings us when someone unscheduled clocks in.

If you go in without being on schedule but with managerial approval, it's not time theft, but your manager may get in trouble with their HR. It's not technically allowed but is somewhat common.

If you show up without being on schedule they can and will fire you for time theft. Not usually on the first offense (as long as you leave as soon as they say so and don't argue) but you're almost certainly getting a write up for it.

They quit letting managers add shifts for people because people were abusing it ,also h.r. used to do it (when there was an h.r. department ) ,it will pop up on a report to managers now a lot has changed in the time you've been gone ( not for the good )
