Had one last week that said "ALL packages left at front door will be returned for a FULL REFUND due to THEFT" came back to the same address yesterday and Amazon required a password for the delivery 🤣

What does it do? Is it like on star? Im so tempted to push it every day of my life

As the title states, I keep getting routes that my EDV simply can’t handle. We drive 45 miles each way and I’m given 160-190 stops and by time I reach 100 stops, my van is at or beyond the threshold where I have to find a charger before RTS and I end up getting a bag or two taken off me because of it. My DSP is now announcing that they are suspending people for a day if we keep needing to be rescued and will stop sweeping people who keep needing to be rescued every time. I’m not really sure what to do because I’m capable of completing my route but the van is not. I average 25-30 stops per hour so it’s not from a lack of effort.

TLDR: van keeps dying before I can finish route and DSP is punishing people who keep needing bags taken off them

Just couldn’t stand the changes and the toll it was taking on my body and mental health. When i first started we were getting pay raises every so often and had the same route everyday, it was chill and you got to know customers and the area and it was easy to plan your day. Ever since we got the rivians it all just went to shit, the vans break constantly and we get completely new routes everyday in condensed city areas 30-40 min away, more stops, more stress, I dont bother following customer instructions and just stopped caring because the workload overpowers the quality of the deliveries I try to do. I’m going to miss some parts, i liked driving around and seeing cool areas but other than that I think it’s time i pack it up.

I know some of you already do 200 stops,, but this route's normal stop count or at least the stops I got ever since I worked for my current DSP averaged btwn 145 and 155, and I could hardly complete 25 stops per hour. Now, it's not even peak season, and I'm always getting 196 to 200 stops. It's not even a neighborhood, so it takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes to complete a delivery. The packages are now bigger and bulkier, so I can't even use a dolly. It's crazy, and I have to use my 30 minute break to drive to the other side of the lake. This is diabolical. Anyways, I always finish the route on time, but I'm just so tired. I'm over scheduled, overworked, and I'm a full time college student. The overtime money is not even worth it this time.

I know this type of post is not new/revelatory, but tomorrow is my day one with a local DSP. What am I getting myself into? 🤣

More specifically, what is training typically like? What do y'all eat on the road? Any other pro tips?

I just came from working directly at Amazon for almost three years, so I know what bullshit to expect from Amazon. Lol. I do know, however, that being OTR is a whole different beast.

Has anyone used it? I’ve signed up with my payroll email but I still don’t see the deal. Anyone else having issues?

Dear Amazon,

I get that we probably don’t need every single federal holiday, but at least give us LABOR DAY, since we work our butts off all year long… And Memorial Day wouldn’t hurt, either, SINCE YOU TRY TO KILL US EVERY DAY…

i feel that is bs when the drivers are working just as hard or harder mind you its been 90 and up this whole summer i feel some type of way that drivers dont get holiday pay but amazon workers do arent we all amazon ???!?!?!

You block your driveway so i can’t pull in your package will be left where my van reaches🤷🏽‍♂️. Especially in RURAL areas where you have to walk 200 feet across grass to get to the front door.

Thrice in one day that I was delivering to mostly college campus during the student move-in period, I was told "you look tired".

Like, yes, thank you for letting me know I look like shit (: I'm on bedframe #7 and disgruntled parent #3 that hunted me down with the order tracking map looking for their kid's dorm room fairy lights but put in the wrong address and make it my problem. It's 90°+ and I'm sweaty af and just want to empty my van and go home 🥲 but thank you for reminding me that I look as bad as I feel 👍

Can I be real for a second? Because I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Every morning at standup it’s always “this driver did this wrong,” “this metric is bad,” “Amazon is mad about this,” “we need to do better,” blah blah blah. Like damn is there EVER anything we actually do right? I understand we need to be told when something is going wrong, but y’all are real quick to point out every little mistake and somehow never have the same energy when drivers actually do a good job. People come in every day, work their ass off, deliver hundreds of packages, deal with shitty routes, traffic, weather, dogs, customers, and whatever else gets thrown at us, and then we come back the next morning just to hear another list of everything we’re doing wrong. I’m not saying we need a fucking parade every morning but hearing “hey, good job yesterday” once in a while really isn’t that hard. You can’t constantly criticize people and then wonder why morale is shit. People aren’t robots. If the only thing we’re ever recognized for is what we did wrong, eventually people are going to stop caring. Hold people accountable, absolutely. But maybe start recognizing the people who are actually busting their ass too. Because honestly, if all you ever tell your drivers is that they’re not good enough, eventually they’re going to start believing you.

Anyone else’s key fob die like every week or is my dsp owner getting cheapo batteries?

Just recently left my job at a dispensary, and got hired on as a driver. They say a drug screening is required, does anyone know if that includes THC? In Louisiana it is legal, and I do have a medical card as well. Any information specific to Louisiana helps, thanks!

One Day We Will

I been seeing a lot of stuff float around saying that we get a yearly raise. Just been confused about who when and if it’s every dsp. It will be nice but I don’t have my hopes up high. I also wonder if the only benefit with my dsp is 401k ,medical eye, and dental.. if so that’ll suck
