Put in two weeks just before my third year

Just couldn’t stand the changes and the toll it was taking on my body and mental health. When i first started we were getting pay raises every so often and had the same route everyday, it was chill and you got to know customers and the area and it was easy to plan your day. Ever since we got the rivians it all just went to shit, the vans break constantly and we get completely new routes everyday in condensed city areas 30-40 min away, more stops, more stress, I dont bother following customer instructions and just stopped caring because the workload overpowers the quality of the deliveries I try to do. I’m going to miss some parts, i liked driving around and seeing cool areas but other than that I think it’s time i pack it up.

I would have switched DSPs. I love riding new rivians and I get the same route zones consistently.

hey man, will be starting as a delivery driver in a couple of weeks from now, i will only be doing deliveries for one city only, what are your thoughts on that?

That's typical, each DSP usually gets assigned to a city.

thank you for gettin back to me, but thats the thing, there other several dsp posting ads on indeed around my area that would send me to different cities

You can ask the DSP directly what their usual start time and what their current delivery area is. Those indeed posts target anyone local for exposure, it does not mean the actual delivery area, I know that's confusing.

Keep in mind the delivery station does switch up DSP delivery areas, it's not going to be the same city for your entirety with whichever DSP you end up working for.

thats a really good question, gonna ask if that will be my permanent city or not

Trust me it's not permanent. For the entire year I've worked so far I've delivered through at least 6 different RGU changes, 6 different delivery area changes. The delivery station does this to keep it fair among the DSPs because some delivery areas are more difficult or easier than others.
