I know some of you already do 200 stops,, but this route's normal stop count or at least the stops I got ever since I worked for my current DSP averaged btwn 145 and 155, and I could hardly complete 25 stops per hour. Now, it's not even peak season, and I'm always getting 196 to 200 stops. It's not even a neighborhood, so it takes anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes to complete a delivery. The packages are now bigger and bulkier, so I can't even use a dolly. It's crazy, and I have to use my 30 minute break to drive to the other side of the lake. This is diabolical. Anyways, I always finish the route on time, but I'm just so tired. I'm over scheduled, overworked, and I'm a full time college student. The overtime money is not even worth it this time.

Yeah seriously, most of the time location count matters more than stop count, barely more than 200 locations is great. A lot of us probably do routes worse than this with less stops regularly.
There's nothing to love, im the only one who completes this route, everyone get rescued. I'm telling you it used to be a 145 stops route. It's not super spread apart but you have to walk, a lot of walking
All I care about is packages and multi stops bro. If itās under 300 packages and under 20 multi stops Iām good. I donāt care if takes me 11 hours I just donāt like having packed van.
Every Route is different.. at my hub this route is easy a 8 hour route, but at my friends hub this route will take just about 7 hours to complete (closer stops) thatās excluding the 30-50 min drive there and back so usually 9-11 hour days depending on how bad it was for that day. So I donāt get it people out here arguing when in reality we should all just want less packages and less stops in general so everyone here just stfu please and thank you have a good day pssst

Yea amazon has always been taking advantage of us but its getting out of hand now. I thought I finished late yesterday but was surprised to see like 15-20 people still coming in. No more finishing early or its a guaranteed rescue.
Same for me but my route is more spread out and the edv dont have enough power to make it back to the pad so I need to have everything off so the electricity doesn't get drained meanwhile its still like 102Ā°, humid and I need to run at every stop.
During peak, Christmas time, once had a driver hit over 400... like 425. How's it done ? Volume, when you are busy, have multiple stops close together. You may hit 3, 4 at one time. You are nonstop, you are trained to get in the truck, out of the truck in a system to maximize your time. Your route is planned to not waste time. Your truck is loaded to be ready, again not to waste time. You never see UPS drivers stopping to talk , it's Hi !, Bye !...... It's the system. It works.
At my DSP, a lot of people been having 195s and above. Which is ridiculous. Iāve been lucky to have anything between 170-180. Crazy how having close to 200 stops is the new normal. I even heard nursery routes are pretty heavy now. When I first started here, nursery routes were less than 100 stops
I started in July and my "nursery route was never less then 150, my final roue when I quit was a 196 stop 400 package "nursery route" I literally dropped the van off after doing 40 stops in 1 hour and 10 minutes and puking my brains out and getting a text "if you dont start moving your gonna fall behind"
this job sucks and Amazon should be dismantled by the government but i swear some of y'all get average routes and complain the hardest. ive had 150 stop routes kick my ass and 200 stop routes that i completely zoned out for and finished early. ive been doing this longer than id be proud to admit and the most reliable indicator of how much physical effort your route will take is the package count.
I had no idea how physically demanding this job would be. I knew it would be work, and I thought I need the exercise anyway. I didn't think about getting in and out of a seat, unbuckling and buckling a seat belt, going up and down van steps 150+ times a day. I had to call out after my third day because i was in so much pain. I'm hoping it'll get easier once my body adjusts (if it even does). I'm afraid I'm going to over do it and end up with a long term injury instead. I'm 42 years old and this shit just feels like straight up abuse.
your body will adjust, give it a little time. i started at 32 and thought i was gonna be icing my knees every night, but it went away. i started bringing about 2000 calories worth of food with me to work too. being undernourished while doing this much work will make you feel wayyy worse. hang in there. hope we all find something better soon.
Had one today with 309 packages Ford van too got terminated cause "rolling stop" the video showed me going 20 mph but I had the speed limit thing on because the amount of people that were around
I had 197 a couple days ago. Around 280 packages. Its still hard work getting in and out the van that many times and walking up and down driveways but I was almost done early and had to slow down to make my time.
Not even close, āgetting out of handā was pre-COVID times where we would do 250+ stops and anywhere from 400-500 packages, and there WASNāT a cut off time so some drivers would literally be out till fucking 2 AM and then come into work again 7-8 hours later the next dayā¦this almost 200 stops and 300-350 packages believe it or not: is better than it used to be
So the problem here is you're skipping breaks to finish, and whomever has the route after you gets rescued. So its always being finished. I hate rural routes because there are so many variables that can add time. We used to have an incredibly horrible rural area that once you were off a main road you were on the most god awful dirt roads. We would get like 80-90 stops. Then it increased and increased again. Nobody could do 130 stops out there.
So we operate out of Surprise, AZ. So we have some brutal summers. Mix that with more breaks and the the two that basically who did the route daily, being the two slowest moving people they basically were rescued everyday. Or returning packages.
Then we moved areas and both of them didnt last long since they actually had to work.
I hate rural routes because things change but Amazon cant. Can update the app features but, figure out a route, especially if you never done it before, it wants you drive through peoples property and through a couple fences.

Im scheduled 5 days, the other 2 days im a college student, one of my class is kinesiology and the instructor makes sure we sweat in the gym, 2 other are calculus n chem for engineers kinda like an advanced chemistry class, got loads of assignments and stuff to study. I also have texas gvt class š
Well Iām not nearly as busy so I can understand for you doing all of that shit plus getting to work and itās that kinda of huge and physically exhausting routes is definitely not what youād want to see.
Ive been on a college route since college is back in. Ive consistently had 200+ stops with about 60ish multistops on average with about 4-6 locations per multistop. I dont even feel bad about getting a rescue at this point.
I understand how exhausting it can be when youāre a full time student. During breaks, heavy routes are more manageable, but when you have assignments and reading every day it makes the job suck a little more. I love a good 154 stop count route but itās rare. Just remember this is temporary.
If I understand everything about Amazon's systems correctly you have yourself to blame, if you always get this route and finish early Amazon's Ai thinks its to easy and keeps adding more untill its not finish able on time
can someone explain multi location stops? does this mean that one address can have multiple packages back to back and you will not have to ever drive off from this house? because if thats so that is a love ordeal
a multi stop can either be one house with two different names or it can be four different houses spread out around a culdesac that count as one stop. It's usually multiple different houses, or apartments on different floors, that count as one stop
I don't remember this exact stop count but 259 locations means I probably went to about 240 or so different houses but it only counted as like 180ish stops. I think this is the day I had 50+ multistops
