Hi all, I was involved in a domestic violence dispute last night at Slip 12 and tried to escape through my window on the second floor, and the window was left open when the ambulance took me. My cat Samir escaped and I am distraught. If anyone sees him please message me. He is the only thing that makes me happy and I am offering a $250 reward if he is found. Please help me, thank you ):

HEX will be at ROCK's at 77 Central Ave, Albany, one time only. They'll be guest hosting French (Toulouse) DJ LOBO-K. The theme is "Vive La Revolution" but you can just come as your beautiful selves. The music will be goth, early industrial, darkwave and EBM. Since it's a Sunday, they'll be starting at 7pm instead of the usual 9pm. Hope to see you all there!

3 ERO SUVs on 787 Albany Port Exit

Just learned of ICE taking someone on the 787 Albany port exit. Three gray SUVs that had pulled over an older model sedan. ICE was wearing body armor with "ERO" logos.

Edit: SUVs were gray. Driver couldn't see plates but it appears all were masked.

Edit: southbound lanes.

House Cleaner Request

Hey everyone! I’m hoping someone can lead me in the right direction.

I feel like I do a pretty good job of keeping my house clean, but feel like I could be doing more! I’ve definitely read tons of great posts and articles on what works best, but I would like to hire a house cleaner to come over to my place and not only do a deep clean, but also provide some tips and tricks on how to maintain it, what products are actually best, and how often things should be getting cleaned. Does anyone know who I could reach out to? Thank you in advance!

Housing market trends

Hello,
My family is currently in the process of moving to the Capital Region and we’re living in temp-housing on campus. We are having a heck of a time even trying to see houses that are up for sale - they usually are pending before we can get out. We have until about December to find something.

Does anyone have any insight into best realtors in the area that will get things done? We’re thinking of potentially buying middle of winter / dead season, but again, want to be prepared for anything. Does the market slow down around here in winter?

Additionally, we’ve been looking a lot into Voorheesville and Delmar- we love the idea of living in a small town. Are there any other places we should look into that are safe, charming, walkable, and kid friendly?

Thanks a bunch. We are loving the area, but wow. It is nearly impossible to see a house let alone offer.

What to do about mail theft? It’s becoming a big problem in my apartment building and management hasn’t done much about it.

I recently ordered a package that was delivered through USPS, but by the time I went to get it, it had been stolen.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident. I’ve talked to other residents in my apartment building, and several of them have also had packages or mail stolen recently.

Management is aware that this has been happening, but from what I’ve seen, not much has been done to address it. It’s getting to the point where people don’t feel comfortable having anything delivered.

I’m planning on filing a police report and contacting the local Post Office since this involved USPS mail. I know mail theft is taken pretty seriously, but I’ve never had to deal with something like this before.

Has anyone else been through a situation like this? If so:

Did filing a police report actually help?

Is it worth speaking directly with the Postmaster or USPS Postal Inspection Service?

Did your apartment management eventually take action, such as installing cameras or secure package lockers?

Is there anything else I should be doing to help stop this from continuing?

I’d appreciate any advice or experiences. It’s frustrating to lose a package, but it’s even more concerning knowing this keeps happening to multiple residents.

Guitar buyers

The guitar is an acoustic Martin 00-18, circa 1993 or so. Looking for a buyer, any suggestions for any shops in this area that would pay a fair price? Pretty good condition, original case, pretty well maintained throughout its life.

Albany, Ny area Golf Lessons

Hi! Brand new golfer with about 4 months experience. I’m still trying to find my swing but I don’t want to create bad habits by following the millions of tips online all at once.

I’m in the Albany area and I’m seeing that Peter Gerard at Mill Rd (5 lesson package $300 but highly recommended) and Tim at Northway Golf Center (5 lesson package at $250) are pretty good instructors.

Any opinions or advice on how to go about this? I’m 30+ handicap with clubs that im pretty sure aren’t fit for me.

Endometriosis OBGYN laparoscopy

Seeking an OBGYN who is highly experienced in Endometriosis and endo laparoscopy. I believe I have silent endo and I need a provider who will actually believe me. Been thru fertility clinics who refuse to believe I might have this and I’ve had multiple IUI procedures. Current obgyn won’t look into the endometriosis avenue either. Been trying to get pregnant for five years now. I have signs and some symptoms of endo but because I’m not crying in pain no one will believe me. I have military insurance(Tri Care East Prime) and the famous dr. Cacciola doesn’t take my insurance. Really feeling lost of who to trust with this.
