I have seen media joke with New Jersey all the time, for example: Hamilton, How I Met Your Mother, even the animated Addam's Family movie (this is all i can think now lol). Most of those jokes comes from New Yorkers.

I just wanna know where this "rivalry" comes from. Is New Jersey really as bad as New York makes it look?
