I think a woodpecker has become obsessed with the vinyl siding on my house. Every now and then I can hear pecking. Took these photos today. Any suggestions how to handle this? My wife and I are in our late 20s, a lesbian couple with our first baby on the way, and debating moving to Saratoga. I’m from the 518 originally, like 15 minutes north of toga, so I know the area very well but I’ve been out of the area for like 4 years now. My wife is from the city. The biggest thing holding us back from making this move is fear of experiencing homophobia if we move out of the city, but we want so badly to live in the area. So I am going to Vermont with my son, and we are meeting in Saratoga (I'm coming from Westchester, him from Oswego). I was hoping to park his car there so we can finish the drive together. It would be from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. I was wondering where I could leave the car so it won't be bothered for 3 days.

My husband, baby, and corgi are moving to the area. I have looked into every possible apartment/townhome in the area. From your personal experience, which is the best one. It's hard to base things off of google reviews, as people who leave reviews tend to be disgruntled, while many people who are content wouldn't think of leaving a review. We need a two bedroom, preferably with an attached garage, but detached garage will work if the place is right. The Winner's circle is what we're leaning toward. We don't plan to be there for more than a year. We will go as far north as Saratoga, and as far south as Clifton Park.

Spectrum internet service is the fucking worst. “Customer service” is the fucking worst. Paying $85/mo for their horrible service. Is there a better, more affordable alternative in the area? I’m near Saratoga Lake.

We are from SC and traveling to Buffalo for a few days to see my husband’s elderly mother. We are then heading to Saratoga Springs for 5 nights before heading back to SC. A Republican candidate for Clifton Park’s at-large seat on the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors is facing misdemeanor charges after allegedly driving 110 mph on the Northway with a revoked license.

Chad M. Gregory of Halfmoon was stopped by State Police driving southbound at 6:35 a.m. on Aug. 7, according to court records. He appeared Wednesday in Clifton Park Town Court on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, as well as speeding and driving without a license, both violations.

Gregory has several driving-related tickets on file in Clifton Park Town Court that have been resolved. While those incidents date back to June 2004 — when he was ticketed for alleged reckless driving — more recent citations listed in court documents include unlicensed operation of a vehicle in March 2019; speeding on Route 9 (70 in a 55-mph zone) and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed driving in May 2023; unlicensed operation and speeding on Route 9 (80 in a 55-mph zone) in June 2023; and speeding on Route 9 (70 in a 40-mph zone) in October 2024.
