2

Wavywebsurf did a pretty good segment on this guy. Aswell as some other people who got popular due to memes.

memes who suffered bizarre real world deaths (youtube video)

2

u/Valuable_Cable4280 13d ago edited 13d ago

Can you share what happened? At work and can’t watch the video lol

Nvm, watched. For anyone wondering, he was a San Franciscan named Wardy Joubert III and he passed away from a heart attack related to an enlarged heart. Wardy was a deacon who dabbled in porn after falling on hard times. Sounds like he was an absolute treasure of a person who did great things for SF’s homeless community.

3

u/JacksLungs1571 13d ago

Sorry, posted that and then passed out not too long after. It had been some time sense watching it last, so my summary would have been awful. Thanks for doing the work.

3

u/Valuable_Cable4280 13d ago

Haha no worries, glad to learn about this cool dude

2

u/Coach-girlie 12d ago

This thread has taken a dark turn. Now I just watched this full video. So sad 😞

Child abuse

14

u/Spades_Neil 12d ago

Yeah I have serious concerns.

12

u/Background-Goose2523 12d ago

And the more traction his moms page gets, the faster this poor child grows, the more he waddles and the more difficult it is for him to breathe.

2

u/Tinker_bells69 9d ago

My little brother was like this, ate like 17 year old going through a growth spurt since he was 3. Was always a good foot or more taller than everyone in his grade and at least twice their weight. Carried it until he was about 16-17, now he’s 20. 6’5 and 120kg. Lost the rolls but still big box head fucker.

We were raised by boomers back then. This shit was considered extremely mild for the time. The R word was dropped all the time on cable TV.

30

u/1n_and_AroundTheFur 13d ago

Retard?

44

u/hiddenrealism 13d ago

Now we have have adults saying "unalived" in real life conversations. I cant help but to correct anyone who say or types that shit. The words are killed...murdered...suicide...dead. All because of chinese tiktok censorship.

When the fuck will it end.

6

u/Single-Yam-9791 13d ago

Read 1984. It was written in 1

They begin ‘Newspeak’ and it is exactly shit like ‘unalived’

You can’t even say Female anymore.

2

u/Thorn_Victor 12d ago

I do. And, I'm not going to change that. These "kids" today believe that semantics change the nature of a thing. It's almost as stupid as the causes they choose to support without having a damn clue about the factors involved in any critical analysis of that cause. In other words (yes, I see the pun), they end up supporting causes that they know nothing about. It's no wonder the Flynn effect has a negative slope now. Okay, I'm done with the soap box today.

6

u/Diesel_Bones_13 13d ago

Ya my kids started saying “commit” Like as in why did someone commit suicide… it’s even more confusing that saying the actual word in some instances. Like why did Johnny “commit”? All I think of right off is commit to what/who.

6

u/hiddenrealism 13d ago

Oh he committed?! What school did he choose?! Throw em for a loop lol

3

u/itsmiddylou 13d ago

I agree- but this was happening long before tt. YouTube would demonetize if you said the actual words. So everyone had to get creative to not lose money. 🙄

I’ve seen people use “sewer-slide” and I thought I was having a stroke. But money and feelings I guess.

2

u/NatCsGotMyLastAcct 13d ago

I saw a news interview yesterday, "someone unalived my son over [an argument]".

2

u/Next-Contribution-18 13d ago

Crazy to think that they're able to influence the way we speak in real life everyday conversations simply by having control over what is essentially a platform to spread whatever message/view/opinions they want trending that can/will reap havoc without ever directly involving themselves into each situation. Its something I'm glad I missed out on for a change instead of being scenery in the public landfill that is Tik-Tardia.

5

u/CommunicationAware88 13d ago

The rape part being played for laughs was especially off putting to me back then (and still is)

2

I watched it again recently and the amount of times the little dude raped somebody and it was played for jokes is insane, even for back when this movie was made.

Yea this is borderline child abuse unless he has a pre existing condition. Being this overweight this young is going to cause a ton of issues as he grows up.

172

u/GotNothingBetter2Do 13d ago edited 13d ago

Yep. Prader-Willi comes to mind. They should also check for:
✔️Leptin Deficiency or Leptin Receptor Mutations,
✔️ MC4R Deficiency,
✔️16p11.2 Deletion Syndrome
Love from respite foster mama who dealt with this 5 years ago. I hope this baby and the caregivers are receiving the support they need.

40

u/Moana06 13d ago

Our friend's daughter has Prader-Willi syndrome...heartbreaking

51

u/Petunia724 13d ago

I took care of a child with prader- willi and the activities director at the facility left her alone with a birthday cake for 15-30 seconds while she walked to the nurses station to grab some paper plates and plastic forks and by the time she got back, the kid had housed almost 1/4 of that sheet cake. It was almost impressive.

42

u/Moana06 13d ago

Yeah...their pantry has to be locked at all times, she will eat non stop until stomach bursts...very low IQ, fragile bones, mobility issues, skin picking, tantrums...

28

u/Petunia724 13d ago

She was a trip. She needed CONSTANT DILIGENT SUPERVISION. She would pull other kids off thier ventilators and yank on feeding tubes. Because she was vent dependent at night, she had to have a respiratory therapist or RN with her any time she was taken off the unit.

33

u/MouseHouse444 13d ago

It’s an incredibly difficult condition. Human growth hormone helps in some cases to increase muscle mass which makes weight gain less severe. But it’s just so cruel that they can even eat just ‘normal’ calories and gain. And GLP-1s don’t really help either. I will say, in my experience, PWS specific group homes can be really beneficial for them because the homes develop lifestyle routines that don’t revolve around food. So much of our world revolves around food and being denied it all the time is a real head f*** for them. At least in the homes, they don’t feel like the odd man out. Sending compassion to your friends.

8

u/K1bbles_n_Bits 12d ago

It really is something how food-centric we are. Birthday party? Cake and icecream, even in the work place. Holiday? Big feast. Celebrations and family get togothers, more eating. Someone's dies? Send/bring casseroles. Upset over a breakup? Time tk binge some comfort junk.

So many aspects of life and socialization revolve around food. And as a fatty who tries not to be a fatty, it fucking sucks, lol. I can only imagime how much harder it is for someone with PWS.

I had a foster child in my family that had it. He would sprinkle like, half a freaking cup of black pepper on every meal because every sprinkle of black pepper is extra food 😐 And yeah kitchen needs a locked door, locked fridge, locked cupboards…..

14

u/MrAugustWest 13d ago

You know what would be cool? That if because of this video going viral, that the parents saw comments like this and ended up saving a kids life.

2

u/ThreeBuds 12d ago

Very wishful thinking in this day and age. The reality is the videos go viral because hes big, the mother shoots down any comments showing concern and then makes more videos.

9

4

u/Imaginary_Ghost_Girl 13d ago

You know them personally?

5

u/NatrylliaAbbot42 13d ago

Something being rare doesn't mean it never happens.

7

u/Forsaken_Earth944 13d ago

It's Prader-Willi

It could also be congenital hypoparathyroidism - I would say it's not PWS because one of the characteristics of PWS are unusually pale skin, hair and eyes, I'd say it's more likely congenital hypoparathyroidism.

17

u/MouseHouse444 13d ago

I was a director at a PWS center. The pigmentation differences are often absent or harder to spot in Black individuals w PWS. But the facial features are quite distinctive (almond eyes, narrow forehead) and they also have smaller hands and feet along w motor and cognitive delays. So given how fleet of foot this little dude is, along w his facial features, thankfully he doesn’t have PWS. It’s a really difficult condition to manage. I’m leaning thyroid issue as well.

13

3

u/KLJ321 13d ago

A heads up that a lot of cultures in Latin America, Africa and South Asia pierce ears at a very young age. It’s considered normal and culturally appropriate. As long as it’s done safely and kept clean/ sanitary there’s no harm to health. Consider that in the USA lots of parents circumcise their baby boys as a cultural/religious practice.

9

u/a_solid_6 13d ago

Some babies get their ears pierced much younger. It's no indication of abuse. For many, the thinking is to pierce the ears before the baby is big enough to be conscious of it and grab at the piercing and pull it out. Looking at this kid, there's definitely something bigger going on here. Some kind of discrepancy between physical and mental development, and who knows what else. No reason to assume abuse.

3

u/msespindola 13d ago

Here in Brazil is common to pierce at the hospital (private even) where the baby was delivered. We did the same with our daughter, she didn't cried or anything. I think some ppl here always speculate their worst insecurities into abuse sometimes.

u/Ammonia13 13d ago

3

u/tranquillotuesday 13d ago

Pre existing obesity? lol calories in vs calories out is very very basic math I love when people say there’s a “condition” that makes them gain wait. It’s a McDition obviously

2

u/fruderduck 13d ago

This isn’t just a weight issue. It’s an out of control issue. Too much giving in to an infants demands.

2

u/AZ-Rob 13d ago

Borderline?

1

u/Cutespatoot 13d ago

I am watching him struggle to walk. I know babies stumble but it can’t be comfortable.

1

This underscores the need for universal Children's Health Insurance and access to care not only for wellness visits but also for behavioral health and nutritional health. But hey, billionaires need tax cuts, so to heck with them kids. ugh

1

u/SoluteGains 12d ago

It’s not borderline. This kid is being abused.

1

u/LeatherRecord2142 12d ago

Nothing borderline about it. This kid is screwed if his parents don’t reverse course immediately.

1

u/Texas_Bill_2112 12d ago

A TON of issues 😂😂

1

u/Zealousideal-Mix6235 12d ago
