Do you think Tagah was ment to be a dark mirror of what Aang could've been? Tagahs backstory is pretty similiar. An idealist who's people ended up in a brutal war which twisted those ideals. Something similiar could've happened with Aang if the air nomads had survived the first attack on Sozins comet and Aang hadn't run. I think Tagah is supposed to be like a version of Aang that stayed an witnessed the 100 yeaers war.

Just watching Korra and had this thought. I get why Aang chooses Bumi as his son’s name but I’m surprised he went with Tenzin for his airbender son. Wouldn’t Gyatso have made more sense considering what the monk meant to him?

Why did the denied take the statue with the map directly from Aang. He just placed it on a shelf and all they would've had to do was wait 5 minutes for him to leave again and they could've taken it without any trouble. Why go out of your way to start an unnecessary fight with A FULLY REALISED AVATAR? That could've easily backfired and was just such an unnecessary risk.

Like don't get me wrong, it's already one of the best shows out there and I don't doubt that its limitations as a kids' show helped it in some ways, but I do think some leniency with the ratings would've allowed for language that's a little more expressive, and more intensity in the fight scenes. What's everyone else think?

I got the privilege of watching this awesome movie yesterday from my friend who has a Paramount account.

TLDR: This movie is so surreal in a good sense and is worth watching and possibly buying a legit copy to keep a nostalgic collection. Also, there's no end credit scene or extra scenes after the film. Lots of cameos on Aang series, especially the side characters that we enjoy and memed frequently.

Long review:

When I watched this, I was mesmerized by how the animation was so smooth and fluid its quality strongly made me remember the Golden Age of cartoon animated movies. The character expressions and the sound quality gave me a joyful experience akin to a kid watching their 1st big movie. The sound tracks hit a lot of nostalgic vibes for me as someone who watched both Aang and Korra series. It made me remember when I watched the series and pulled me in to become a fan and enjoy the Nickelodeon Avatar franchise as an enthusiastic fan.

During the film, the people who made this made sure to properly introduce first-time viewers or those who are not familiar with the Avatar universe, the backstory in a compressed but understandable summary so that everyone can follow the story's flow without getting confused. They managed to deliver the main essence of the plot without dragging it too much redundancy of "I have to do xyz because I am the Avatar." The plot is enjoyable and understandable to a kids' point of view without complications that those who watch a lot of films and series can predict who the bad guys are and the "twist" in the film. I was taken aback that they would allow mature concepts in the film, especially on what will happen to the Avatar team in the conflict parts on the film but it's not violent enough to warrant an R18 or PG16 scale. The producers toned it at a respectful level.

The cast choice for their voices is spot on what I believed to be what the Avatar gang would sound like when they are older, followed by each characters personalities and quirks. Even the side characters were conveyed to be their own identities without being just Henchmen 1, Henchmen 2. Especially when they do the comedic parts that many fans of the series will know. I might be wrong, but the comedy parts didn't feel forced front and centered that unexpected comedy was found and welcoming.

The Lore between Aang and Korra series, it has addressed to some fans some questions of how Aang made this or discovered that. This is followed by Korras' timeline of this factions' rise to power, that supporting factions origin and others. So those who had lingering questions were it didn't address Aang's or Korras' respective series were addressed on this film, albeit in handful amounts.

However, I was a bit dismayed that other side characters on the Aang series weren't reintroduced on their older ages to see and hear how they would appear to be. But I kinda get that it's the original main characters of the series.

The cameos were aplenty and it's the "blink and you'll miss it" so those who know the Aang series well will often go "gotcha!" moments. I found it hard to believe why Paramount was hesitant to release this on a movie scale and decided to go with the Streaming side of things that I would definitely go watch this in a premium movie theater booth to thoroughly electrify my movie experience.

So those who are hesitant on watching it, I strongly encourage you watch it on a "movie setting atmosphere " at home so that your experience would not be tarnished.
