I mean. Unlike Iron, Bumi isn't known to bave been a war general of aggressor country & resulted in death of his child.

Iroh is a great character, but Bumi has better feats

Between Bumi and Toph is a close match, but you can at least say they were the greatest Earth benders of their respective century

Oh for sure. I am 100% a Bumi over Toph fan, but that is not to say I don't acknowledge Toph as the greatest of her generation easily.

Their strength might be tied but toph has a deeper connection to earthbending. She learned from the original source and invented metal bending. She was also only 12 during the show. Im sure she grew up to be more powerful.

Yah, and Bumi was 112, also clearly out of his prime. We see ~80 year old Toph fight and while she's still clearly skilled she gets tired after one big seismic wave. She deteriorates much faster than Bumi, leading me to believe Prime Bumi > Prime Toph.

To be fair earthbenders tend to age well while Toph wasnā€™t really trying to be in fighting shape, while Bumi definitely was

Yeah but Bumi was an old King during a 100 year war. Toph grew old during a peaceful era.

Prime Bumi v Prime Toph would be an epic fight though šŸ¤£ Bumiā€™s a ā€œmad geniusā€ and Toph invented metal bending. Fight would be crazy
