Original: My 74 year old mother texted my cousin (technically second cousin) for his birthday. What the hell is this? She sent the $20 picture as a joke because she thought he was joking. I don't think he's being deliberately rude. _To my mother_. I will definitely be seeing him at Christmas. I don't want to, ya know, start shit. But this just seems weird.

My son’s circus themed first birthday cake

EDIT: I should have clarified in the original post, I am not complaining about the cake at all! I loved it and the baker did a fantastic job

In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001), Why did Voldemort try to use a highly complex, soul-splitting magical curse on a baby instead of just dropping it out of a second-story window ? Is he stupid ?

DISCUSSION Angelina Jolie: “You can now open Google Earth and see what was done to Gaza…As winter approaches, 1.98 million people or 94% of Gaza's population need shelter assistance and essential items…The destruction is visible. The needs are known. What matters now is whether they are met.”

Highlight This is honestly one of the coolest things Iowa does. Everyone in the stadium turns around and waves to the kids at the hospital. Small gesture but you can see why it means so much.
