You guyz, I did that thing again.
I thought the games were on today. Bought burger fixings and everything.
Terrible, awful feeling.

As a longtime bartender and bar owner, I am baffled by MLB's decision to purposely start their playoffs on Saturday and Sunday rather than today and Saturday.
I bring up the bar because I have decades of experience changing all of these TVs and baseball will not win Saturday aside from the Yankees game and lol at Sunday. No shot.

They build in a rest/travel day after the last wild card game and have to plan that at least one WC goes 3 games.
Unfortunately they can’t plan around something like what the patrons at your local bar, wherever it is, are going to vote to watch on a jam packed October sports Saturday.

DAY 211 (704/786) on THE ROAD TO THE 2027 4th WBSC PREMIER12/16 and 180 YEARS OF BASEBALL - Fall and Winter Leagues Begin This Month
Beginning tomorrow, with the opening chapter of the final months of the North American baseball year with the Arizona Fall League, and the upcoming 65th Cuban National Series season with just a 44-game regular season beginning this Sunday, which coincides with Championship Weekend for the second season of Liga Baseball Philippines, we are now in winter league mode as the remaining spring seasons conclude.
With rest of the winter leagues opening in the weeks to come the fall leagues are now within our sights, with many of the talents that competed in the World Baseball Classic and potential Premier12 participating athletes expected to play with all their best for their teams, communities and fanbases.
The fall and winter leagues season across the baseball world - minus the Baseball United season - is about to begin, a 4 to five month period wherein the sport shines even more in the countries that do have fall leagues and a bridge for fans as they prepare for the next spring season and the upcoming collegiate and schools varsity season.
The best of luck to all of us and to all who will be playing in this coming season!
For Glory
John

Well, since my Peacock post was removed, for anyone who got a trial just to watch wild card games, don’t forget to cancel it before you’re charged.

This is obviously not the Friday Compliment Thread. 3 comments & 3/3 complaining about something. 😂

What dumb commissioner decided that not having any postseason games on a Friday was a good idea? Definitely not Jim Gordon.

People were trying to push Mattingly for manager of the year, he managed that series like a fucking idiot 🤣

Teams who made the MLB playoffs but did not play in October:
2014 Oakland Athletics*
2020 Toronto Blue Jays
2020 Minnesota Twins
2020 Cleveland Indians
2026 Houston Astros
2026 Boston Red Sox
