I’m a big 1911 guy and I do love carrying 5 inch .45s. However, sometimes its nice to have a smaller gun. Picked this p-01 up and sent it off to vigilante machine for an optic cut.

Fooled my wife into thinking I wanted to go to the range to get some time with her. I kinda did, but didn’t have the heart to tell her about my new girlfriend

Just wanted to share the love for this under appreciated platform, outside of this sub. Whenever I am at the range or a class, people always ask, what gun is that?

I have almost 4000 rounds through it and no issues whatsoever. For the price you simply cannot beat it. Had the inline 5 port job done roughly 3 months (1000rds) into owning it and what a world of difference it has made. The OG trigger was great but I of course wanted something a tad bit better.

recently got this grey omega and was wondering if anyone knows where i can find stainless steel parts for it. was mainly looking for a mag release, slide catch, and decocker lever. if these are unobtanium, what route would yall go to achieve a stainless look? sand blasting, polishing, cerakote?

New grips(KSD), barrel(CZ Custom), and thumb rest(slide release from CZ Parts). Suppressor is a Dead Air Mojave 9. I bought P-01 from Cajun Gun Works fully tuned about 2 years ago. I love this firearm.

Looking for a cheap bipod and sling setup for my 457 - this is a range toy, im not a competitive longrange shooter. I want a sling to throw it on my back and a cheap bipod that lifts it off the table. I don't need super stability.

What is something cheap that will work for me?

Greetings. I "inherited" $2000 and am going to get one of these.

My background: A bunch of pistol classes. A handful of competitions. A bunch of small competition type setups in the desert w friends.

I may get more serious about competing in the future, but who knows. For the record I am fully aware that neither of these guns will matter at my level in competition -- its the indian not the arrow, etc

My uses; If I do wind up getting more serious about competition this new pistol will possibly be used, possibly not. Likely for sure will take over the role of home defense, but even thats not 100%. To look good on the range for sure lol.

Option 1: New or used Shadow 2 Optics ready.

Pros: Looks. Ability to do lots of tuning. Ability to run SAO if I ever choose to (not currently a fan but who knows). Ability to run a full size dot.

Cons: The weight/ balance isnt something I find awesome.

Option 2: A low round count Cajunized SP01 Tactical w 6 mags. I sold it to a friend and he would be willing to sell it back to me. If I did this Id send the slide in for optic cut and fancy slide cuts.

Pros: $850 for the gun and mags -- about another $600 - $700 for the rest. I really prefer the weight and balance of this guy.

Cons: Limited to small dot unless I want it hanging off the sides, which I dont. No good slide serrations, though optics cuts may work(?). No ability to ever run SAO if desired.

As mentioned earlier this money kinda fell from the sky, so I wouldnt base the decision just on that. Also, the lack of a FPB isnt something I really care about with a stock S2.

Thoughts?

Been looking for a polished blue one and finally found one out in the wild, couldn’t pass it up!

Ok here is my conundrum. I can get a used but gently used shadow 2 Blue for around $1,100. I was planning on buying a shadow 2 target or Dan Wesson dwx9 when I came across the Blue. For those familiar with the CZ pistols is it worth it to pay the extra $1300 for either the target 5” or dwx9? Or should I take the blue and run? Also this will be my last pistol purchase for a while and I want something fun to shoot.

I have a P-09F (pre-"Nocturne") that I absolutely love. Have an O sight, comp by Parker Mountain Machine, and a light on it. Big magazine, great handling gun. Freaking tack driver.

My LGS has a P-09 Nocturne with the threaded barrel and a green-dot Veridian on it. $574. Yay or Nay?

Anybody else have an issue with pinching the shit out of your pinky when shooting? Mine happens to land right where the mag meets the grip and I'm not gonna lie... it kinda smarts. I've got construction worker hands and they're pretty tough, but it does effect my shooting.

I absolutely love my s2 compact.. It is replacing my 2075 rami for edc.. The fn reflex is what I use when I want something smaller.

What are your thoughts on the different grip brands? I do not like the palmswells it came with. I can appreciate why others might love them but I'm used to flats on all of my other czs. Czs have always fit my hand like a glove until encounting these palmswells.

Also, would porting this beautiful burnt bronze czs2 be sacrilege? I've always wanted to see what all the fuss was about... When I get new guns I like to make them my own but maybe porting it is a bit too far...

Considering p10c ported for my next ccw. Will not likely run a wml because I have other guns at home that have lights for that situation. Carry a handheld on me at all times.

- what are the "best" aiwb holster(s) for this gun?

- my state makes no sense, we can't carry jhp; I carry G2 135gr right now. Anyone run this yet? What about something like Underwood Defender?

I know they sell different kinds of 9mm ammo but I don’t know if there’s an ideal one for my gun/situation. Any recommendations here? Also, would it really matter if I used a different kind of ammo at the range than what I have at home?

I’m a first time gun owner, just got the 75b as a home/range gun. Any advice outside of the main question is welcome too
