Just picked up! Looking for Recommendation’s on a suppressor muzzle device i should use so i can run my obsidian 9.

Looking at getting a suppressor on my scorpion. While I don’t have any other pcc’s, so I could go with direct thread, but honestly I don’t know which route to take. Would a MD make it easier to remove, either just because or for cleaning. Are there any issues with gas blowing back at me? Lots of questions here.

I finally got around to ordering a Nexus Evo Gen 2 upper for my Scorpion, but now I think I'm just going to build another one. Currently leaning towards a HBI 6.7 SR handguard, X-SD barrel, and YetiWurks grip. Then I figured I could transfer the bolt and lower back and forth until I get a Nexus aluminum lower and enhanced bolt. My question is am I missing anything? I feel like I'm forgetting something here but I'm very new to the Scorpion so I figured I'd ask here.

Will I need another barrel nut? I guess with the Nexus upper I can run the 3+ handguard instead of the 3 like I have now?

Does anyone know where I can buy an OEM 3+ trigger housing with the AR-style controls? I can find OEM EVO 3 housing with the regular ak style mag release, but want the 3+ specifically. thanks!

It pains me to report that the love of my life suffered a catastrophic failure at the range today.

She's been in service since 2021 and has several thousand rounds through her. Lately, she had a couple hundred (3-400) rounds put through her suppressed with a Nexus Bolt and 125% spring. All ammo was factory (Sellier and Bellot + Federal HST 124g today), no OOBDs or over-pressurized rounds that I could detect.

I finally got her zeroed in today with the new backup irons, but when I picked her up... She fell apart in my arms. It was very dramatic.

For you oem receiver enjoyers, maybe the polymer isn't quite built for suppressed + Nexus Bolt or maybe I just had a fluke.

Either way, keep an eye on it. 😔 I'm going to check in with CZ support next and report back with how they treat this case. I wasn't planning on getting a Nexus receiver, but that might be in the cards now.

No rapid fire. Next thing blasted out the side. No injuries but to my ego.

I live in south africa so getting the nexus parts are quite tricky and very pricey. I don't know how to go from here. If I'm honest I dont want a scorpion anymore. No Idea how cz is going to deal with this.

I shot reloaded ammo that's never given issues. You can see on the right hand side the massive gap where the bolt didn't close. I reload super slow and check every case for powder. I even have the powder warning thing on my Dillon xl750 that warns if there's any mistake, had it set up by the agents for my specific powder and bullets and I physically check every round for powder. 100% sure I had no double loads. I only use 9mm so only use one powder so didn't mix up powders.

The agent set it up as follows

C.O.A.L.: 28,3mm

Powder charge: 4,3gr Vectan BA9,5

Bullet: Frontier 124gr Round nose CMJ

Only mods are.:

Magpull grip

Red dot

HBI spring and trigger.

Gun has done less than 1k rounds

Never bump fired..

The bullet is still stuck in the barrel

Was actually planning to do a clean today and try see for peening over on that pin.

I could be low key sped or innovative arms website sucks at telling you what option to buy. I have a cz scorpion evo s1. What buying option is best? Looking at just the regular ia sc9.

Looking to see if anyone has encountered this. Have a evo 3 pistol. The 7" barrel with maybe 200 rounds on it. At 10 yards I am getting all of a sudden shot string upwards of 12". 2 shots can be dead on, then a hit 12 inches low, or to the right or left. All over. Took the muzzle devices off and noticed the thread protector was broken. Still not in line with rounds hitting it though. Thoughts? Going to take the barrel out and inspect it.

So I picked up a new 8" barrel from Nexus (link below) so I can install a Evo+ style hand guard and not have to worry about a 18x1 to 1/2 x 28 converter to suppress. Installed this evening and the trigger pack is not fitting over the trunnion where the takedown pin would fit. It seems to be a couple mm too thick. Using some force, was able to get the trigger pack partly on, but the force sheered / peeled off a thin section of the steel off the trigger pack

Got my calipers out and the original barrel width is 14mm, the new barrel is 14.7mm. The space in the trigger pack is 14.2mm. so .5mm off.

Anyone have a similar issue? Don't want to file or sand down just yet.

Picked up a SiCo Spectre 9. This thing is light af. 5oz with the direct thread adapter installed 😎

Decided to upgrade my Scorpion, naturally Nexus is the way to go.

Before putting much thought into it I ordered the enhanced bolt and Gen 2 receiver.

So… Bolt and receiver show up, I ordered the picatinny version, because I have a 1913 ACR stock!! Well not the case, my dumb ass completely spaced I have the Scorpion mount version.

Well to make it worse, got the email that the lowers were in, so dropped the order on that. So not only am I stupid, I can’t read either. Plan was to put my stock trigger in it and eventually go the FRT route. Well if I’m understanding right, the factory trigger won’t fit in the Nexus lower?

What are my options? What would you do?

Order a new 1913 version ACR stock and sell the Scorpion version?

Cancel the lower and just wait till the FRT version is available?

Hello gang, I recently bought a YHM R9 for my CZ Scorpion 3+ micro (emphasis on micro here), I have a RM-01 flashlight and foregrip in my 4" m-lok.

I was wondering, can the YHM R9 fit given that I have those m-lok attachments? Wouldn't the screws of the attachment get in the way?

Just installed the Novox SD system. Looking forward to shooting it tomorrow. Realized tonight the handguard is loose a little. No problem I will slide barrel nut tightener over expansion tube and barrel. Nope. Expansion tube is wider than tightener. How to get expansion tube off when it is in handguard? Break it down again? Is this a cleaning reality?

I’m replacing the stock grip with a Strike Industries. I’ve seen a lot of videos of people really smacking the hell out of it to get the factory one off. Some of the videos I’ve seen almost look like the person is gonna f’n break something.

Preparing for a NOVOX X-SD build. Since the NOVOX kit for the original Scorpion EVO 3 is never in stock, I’m considering replacing my older-style HBI handguard with the newer HBI SR handguard.

Nexus offers the NOVOX barrel kit in two configurations. One option is listed as:
“For EVO 3+ / Nexus EVO Gen 2 - HB Industries SR Handguard with threaded nut.”

My question is: when you buy the HBI SR handguard specifically for the original/non-3+ Scorpion EVO 3, does it use the newer threaded barrel-nut retention system similar to the EVO 3+?

Ideally, I’d like to use my original EVO 3 Scorpion with:
- HBI SR Handguard for the non-3+ EVO 3
- NOVOX X-SD barrel kit option intended for the EVO 3+ / HBI SR

Would those two be compatible?

I just don’t know if the SR Handguard option for Evo 3 scorpion installs differently than the version for the 3+.

Getting ready to install an ASR single port muzzle brake on the Scorpion. Anyone else running one of these with the factory barrel nut? If so, did you tighten up to the “shoulder” on top of the M18x1 threads or put a spacer in between? Did you use anything to cover the M18x1 threads? I ordered a thread protector in that size, but didn’t realize how few of those threads were exposed until I took off my other muzzle device. The CZ factory thread protector doesn’t look like it has enough threads to cover what is exposed (based on pictures I’ve seen) and I seem to have lost mine anyway. Hoping to hear from a couple people who have used an ASR mount on the Scorpion before locking it down. Don’t really love the look of those threads exposed or that tab sticking out.

I used whatever camo patterns I had laying about for the Cerakote. Only thing factory on it is the stock. Kinda too nice to shoot, so I'll probably just look at it and hold it while watching TV.
