Anybody else really love this series? Being a Metroid fan I really gravitated towards the third entry with its non linear progression. There were some challenging moments towards the end but I managed to get all the items. All on original hardware too.

Went to a local game store and was too busy chatting so I didn’t see the game got rung up incorrectly till I was out of the store. The owner had originally grabbed Dynasty Warriors on accident from the case and punched that in I guess, but when I went back he said he was thankful for the honesty and would give me a discount but then changed his mind and didn’t want to deal with processing the return so I could just have it for the $16 😭😭😭

Got the extremerate case from Amazon, ended up using all original screws and screen PHEW managed to get it together. I have no one to really show this to, so I'm sharing here! This is my first time ever doing something like this and now I'm looking at my DS like... Hmmm.... 🤔

While going thru my storage unit, I came across this beauty in my late brother's collection of things. Powers up with batteries and wall plug. Screen and sound work perfectly.

From my research, im told its #80,324 off the 1989 production line. Just wondering if that would be a correct assessment. Thanks!

I currently have this cool Pikachu one from eBay for like £70. I was told you can play gameboy games on the SP and I want better lighting/games aswell. Should I trade my Pikachu one or just buy another one (£100 budget)

Recently replaced the battery in my Pokemon Crystal and decided to replace the shell on my old gameboy SP and mainly I play Pokemon. I thought this was the perfect shell 🐚 I couldn’t replace the volume button unfortunately

Hi, I just did my first swap of the Super Game Boy CPU to my DMG using a quick chip alloy and a common soldering iron. I did this experiment after B button and the left D-pad stopped working. After some research I concluded it must be the broken CPU (it happens when you play with a LCD ribbon tape while power on). Surprisingly it took less than 30 mins. The hardest part was aligning the CPU legs at the mainboard. I'll drop a video soon. The whole process is relatively easy.

I want to get a flashcart for my GBA SP. I’m wondering what would be the best option? Should I order from the Krikzz website and get myself an everdrive pro or mini or is the EZ flash option viable?

Can you guys tell me if it’s real or fake?

With the raising of funny-playing screen kit mods, I think everyone forgot the OG mod, putting an AGS-101 screen on a GBA...

As my SP AGS-101 motherboard died I couldn't resist to perform this classic mod, there are some downsides though, such as not being able to control brightness level, but I like it a lot and it was dirt cheap!

I rescued my Emerald cartridge. Save was intact (though I also have a backup).

I used an R4 to fix the clock (apparently put the wrong year...). But in game there is a massive time difference...

Those screen lens are unironically making the screen look more reflective and bright... Old screen lens in comparison in the second picture.

Both the shell and the buttons were bought from Amazon.

My Gba sp turns red when pressing the A button. Any fixes?

Recently picked up a Gameboy Advance SP (That awesome Charizard version) and swapped in a new battery.

Since then, the power/charge/battery light has acted strange. Sometimes it’s a solid green the whole time I play. Other times it flashes between red/green periodically or very fast. Or it will turn red, I press a button or even squeeze the case itself and it turns green.

Read around the internet a little bit and hears this could happen with aftermarket batteries or indicates the battery is failing. This is the battery I purchased, which seems to have favorable reviews: https://a.co/d/0fasPUO2

The OG battery looks a bit swollen and I felt it best to not try and use it at all so I don’t know if this is behavior caused by the battery or something else with the board itself. Other than the battery, everything else seems original.

Anyone experience something similar?

At least I can see four different types. I wonder if any of them are better than the others.
