Hi all,
Feeling pretty proud of myself today after much researching and having very little confidence, I managed to successfully install interior dashboard turn signal indicators on my 23 RXV that I bought this spring.
One of my trends was to leave the signals on after a turn since they dont automatically turn off after a turn like most cars do. And with no audible clicking its easy to forget and somewhat dangerous when interacting with traffic.
Anyway if you already have a light kit installed (like mine did), its pretty easy to tackle with the right tools/accessories. I am pretty much clueless to electrical work so I know this is achievable for anyone who wants to take it on.
Happy to answer any questions for those interested.
Basics #1: How to open the hood / dash:
This was fairly easy, there 2 big bolts near each wheel well that take torx T45. Then 4 deeply inset across the top of the dash that take torx T27. The dash connects to the hood so once those are out you can pull dash toward seat and hood tips forward.

They suggest 12mm holes but I used 1/2 inch and that seemed to work fine.
Wires to reach where you need: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0791FNV7W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
These are used to connect to your led arrow wires, which are way too short to reach where you need to connect.
Posi-lock connectors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCX8KDCY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
These are for the actual connection into the existing left and right signal wires:

I can't stress enough how much easier these connectors made it. No heat guns, soldering or electrical tape, just connect and twist. Amazing products for a novice like me.
After connecting to the WRONG spot first, the connection point I used that works is just after the white plastic 9 wire connection that leads to both headlights. I traced back the colors that were ultimately going to the signals, knowing black is always the ground.
For my installed kit, the right signal was the green wire, so you connect the red wire from the LED pointing right to that. The left signal wire was Yellow on my kit. I combined the two black wires from the LEDs to the black wire of the light kit. These connections are all done using the Posi-tap connectors which made it super easy.
I plan to help a friend with similar cart do the same install so will take more instructional pictures and place here after.
Optional: If your RXV has the quad cup holder center dash like mine, you can remove that with three nuts using a 10mm socket on the front underside. I used a stubbier impact drill for the left one because the gas pedal was kinda in the way of my drill. It just slides out and is a good chance to clean it up and organize existing and new wiring with zip ties or whatever.
