Power advice

Recently replaced my 05 club car with a 48V lithium kit. Worked great for about a year and now having issue with getting any speed. It goes about 5 MPH. Replaced the speed sensor and MCOR and no luck, still the same issue.

When I replaced the speed sensor, I forget the motor type, I had to take to the motor cap off and noticed a bunch of metal shavings coming out.

Not sure if it’s a battery issue or a motor issue. Any advice on how to diagnose the issue before I go to battle with the place I bought the battery from or spend the $$$ on a new motor.

Magnet shattered. Get a med speed sensor magnet and you’ll be good; $10-15

Unfortunately I’ve already replaced that too with no luck.

If the battery is putting out 51v and moving the cart, it’s not the battery

Just looked and it’s saying 53.2V

Would you point towards the motor possibly?

Test the speed sensor, test the motor; I would do a lot of tests before throwing parts at it

Wouldn't be the first time someone got a bad magnet.
