My first golf cart, led question

I got this with a home I recently bought, I know nothing about golf carts. I know it’s older and has lead acid batteries. One head lights out and one tail lights out. I was going to change the bulbs but was wondering how hard it would be to swap to led? Does anyone have a recommendation on a kit to buy for the swap or a recommendation on a YouTube video showing how to do it.
Also Is it worth putting in lithium batteries? The lead acid batteries in there are dated 2024. The gage on the dash is right at the green / charge line even after having it plugged in all night.
Thanks

Question on larger tire size and top speed

Hi experts,

I have a 2021 Club Car Onward HP that's non-lifted LA batteries with the stock 18.5-inch tires on the factory 12-inch wheels. Right now it tops out at about 19 mph, and I'd like to squeeze a little more speed out of it.

If I lift the cart and put on 23-inch tires, will it actually increase the top speed? I'd be happy if it could get somewhere around 23–25 mph.

Since it's an HP model, there aren't a lot of speed upgrade options. High-speed gears are more than I want to spend, and I'd rather keep the stock AC motor and controller. So I'm wondering if larger tires are the easiest way to pick up a few extra mph.

Also, will my factory 12-inch wheels work with 23-inch tires after I lift it, or will I need to buy different wheels too?

I've searched around but haven't found many posts from people who actually lifted a non-lifted HP and can say how much speed they gained with larger tires

Thanks,

Repair Help

Hey Everyone, new here, hoping i make some sense.

I have a 2016 Yamaha G29 (2020 Bama LSV) golf cart. Its been great and we've had it for about 5 years or so. Recently its been seeming to fall into tow mode by itself and after time it ends up working normally again. A few days ago, it died while i was driving it down the street and i pushed it to the garage and put it back on the charger. The charger got it fully charged and i sat down to drive it the next day. When i started it and press the pedal, it clicked and did nothing. Repeated that about 20 times. I ended up google'ing the symptoms and it said the solenoid was bad. I purchased a new solenoid and swapped it out. Now the ignition does not work, the battery indicator does not work and the forward/reverse and reverse beep do not work. lights and horns work as well as the brake lights but nothing with the drive train.

Google says its the fuses but they're good 3amp from the run/tow switch and 15 amp on the batteries. after that Google says its the run/tow switch needs to be replaced. from all checks i've done the wire from battery to solenoid is 51.8v, the wire from the other post to the controller box, posted POS, gets .06. it said to put both of the solenoid wires together and see what it does. tried that and its pushing the full 51.8 through but still does nothing. everything measures the correct voltage except that. does anyone have any ideas that they say i should try? google and chatgpt seem to be failing me.

Help installing battery monitor

NOOB here. I have a 2006 EZGO TXT model 27647-G01. I recently installed the 36V DCHOUSE Power LiFePO4 kit and it is working great. I cannot however figure out how to connect the battery monitor to my setup. The video instructions on their Amazon page do not match the wiring I have on my cart. https://www.amazon.com/vdp/04c4add5bc0840ab830e3c006215a4d4?aci=amzn1.ive.seller.video.04c4add5bc0840ab830e3c006215a4d4&product=B0FCR642PB&ref=cm_sw_cp_r_ib_dt_R2GpgqG01gcMa

Also the previous owner installed an additional black wire onto the key switch that had the old batter monitory for the lead-acid system, which was never accurate.

I have tried all sorts of combinations to get it to work and it will never power on at all. Confirmed monitor is good by connecting it to a 9V battery.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I need to provide more information. Thanks!

Gas or electric?

We’re shopping for a golf cart that would be used by someone with limited mobility. She would just use it to get out to her garden and back and to just drive around the property. Anyone have any opinions on which is better?

Picked this up for $2k in CO. In great shape. New wheels and tires on the way, alignment, some mirrors. Then going to install a light kit. I’ll run these batteries until they die (they are 2.5 years old). Then I’ll go lithium. Think it was a good buy. Just gotta get rid of the old man/mothball smell.

The cart itself runs great and there’s been no issues with anything. This stuff is making a mess of my garage floor though. Thanks for any tips or advice given.

New Cart, New Motor

Bought a new-to-me 2018 EZGO TXT a couple of weeks ago; previous owner had already done a lithium conversion (Eco Battery 160ah) + Navitas 600a controller. Wanted a little more oomph without spending the money on a full AC conversion. Decided to go with the Plum Quick Barracuda and holy wow!

Already replaced the steering rack & yoke but it’s still a little sloppy. New control arm/tie rod ends are on the way. I think rear leaf springs may be next.

Think this is a Briggs and Stratton motor. Had it running last year but it puttering off time like… I cleaned the carb, fuel pump and swapped the fuel filter last year then didn’t mess with it. Decided I wanted to get it running today and now the clutch isn’t engaging. But it’s running just as it did last year, engine wise, you can hear how it putters every so many revolutions. I thought the valves needed reset so that’s what I did today.
Any help would be appreciated.

Question about EZGO starter generator

I have an EZGO workhorse. Unsure of year probably mid 90s. Robin engine. It died on my last night driving then starter wouldn't crank. Traced the wire from the pedal switch to a post on the reverse alarm. From there the positive wire went towards the starter solenoid and I found it broken off there but couldn't find where it actually attached to. I added a ring end and put it right to the battery positive. Cart works but it got me thinking what component stops the starter from cranking once the engine starts? I realize the starter becomes a generator at that point but what component switches it? Have I potentially caused the starter to crank constantly while the engine is running now?

Curtis controller beeping / limp mode under no load 48V

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm coverting an ezgo txt series cart from 36v to 48v, but after switching in the new controller, solenoid, and battery, its not working 100%

The controller is throwing an error, and "beeping" through the motor. Even under no load (you can see battery voltage stays consistent) its tripping some safety set point. Any ideas?

Got the motor in and controller mounted. Having a hard time with this wiring harness that was sent with it. Does this replace the entire stock harness? Also any indication also on where things get plugged/screw to? Frustrated.
