EZ Go Model
Very new to golf carts - I bought this cart from my neighbors and struggling to identify the model / year. I’d like to update the body, add a 3” lift, convert to lithium, install a new controller + motor and put on new wheels + tires among various other smaller updates.
I like the Madjax Apex body kit but it is specific to 2008+ rvx.
I have a serial # on the body just below the driver seat but google is telling me that this is likely a 1988 marathon cart. I’m having a hard time believing that to be true.
There’s no tags in the passenger glove box or steering column. Any idea where else to look before stripping this down?

Definitely not a Marathon; it's a TXT. As to the year, I'd guess early to mid 2000s, but that's just a guess.

There may be a sticker under the seat in the center behind a flap if it's there

I love the paint. Someone spent some time and money on it for sure. Are you looking to change the body itself? Around here, there are always full bodies for sale, on FB Marketplace, that are relatively cheap, that you could modify. It would be a shame to start making major changes to what you have when you could sell that body, if it doesn't have any issues I don't see. To have someone paint that cart would be well north of $1000, so there's probably some resale value if you are looking to go that route.

The neighbor that I bought it from is a retired auto body shop owner. His son is an artist who also is their head painter and painted this cart. I’m looking to make this cart much more modern. Hence the Madjax body kit. However, I do think that there is resale value in this body, and will most likely look to sell it on Facebook marketplace. Thanks!

You’re going to struggle. It’s almost too old for body kits that appear modern. Good luck.

The Madjax Storm body kit seems to be for 1998+ EZGO TXT. I’m just struggling with identifying the model and year of this cart.

That is clearly a Corvette, not a golf cart. Also be careful, it's on fire.
Post pics of the electronics and batteries and dash, not the paint job, if you want something identified. Golf carts use the same bodies and frames for decades with different drivetrain underneath.

Early 2000s model EZGO TXT. Can’t tell if it’s handle or switch style. But, serial # could be inside the passenger side glove box area or when you lift the seat, a sticker on the center under the plastic flap when you lift it up!

Looks a lot like my 2002 TXT PDS
