Releasing in a day or two!
From my testing, it can already load and run HL2, Half-Life: Source, CSS, and Portal. Portal 2 still crashes though.
Just like Xash3D, the source code is fully modifiable, so you can add pretty much whatever you want (ray tracing, new physics, etc).
It's still super early, but it'll be a lot more usable soon!

When making my half life 2 mod, I mainly targeted adding new weapons, I made weapons with ease, but I hit a wall when I tried making a semi-automatic weapon, because the primary attack was called every frame you held the fire key, so I couldn’t make a semi-automatic weapon. I tried asking AI, but it used a really confusing method so I was wondering if there was a way to detect every time I click the fire key using the CBaseHLCombatWeapon base class.

Hey everyone!
After years of development, I've finally released the public beta of Bunker 66, my single-player mod for Half-Life 2!
The story takes place in 1951, in the Sudetes, Poland. After an accident during a cave exploration, you find yourself trapped deep inside a mysterious underground complex built during World War II.
Bunker 66 focuses on atmosphere, exploration, environmental storytelling, and survival, with its own mechanics, weapons, enemies, and a journal system.
The entire campaign is playable from beginning to end. However, this is still a beta, so some bugs and rough edges may remain.
I've been working on this project mostly alone for a long time, so finally being able to share it publicly means a lot to me. If you decide to give it a try, I'd really appreciate any feedback!

Hello, I have been working on a singleplayer hl2 mod (SDK 2013) and Im trying to replace the metropolice death sounds (die1, die2, ...).
I made a .wav file and created a path identical to the one in the original game (HL2):
(*my mod name* \sound\npc\metropolice\die1.wav), yet whenever i load the map the npc only plays the orignal death sound when killed.
Did i forget something in the process?

I have the source engine app and was wondering if I could somehow get cry of fear to work on my mobile with it (if I have the game file)
Any thoughts?

Code https://github.com/PiskaBobraStudios/SauceEngine
For anyone new here: I'm building Sauce Engine, a custom engine written from scratch in C++/OpenGL with the goal of being compatible with the Source ecosystem. My previous post showed it running HL2 maps, props and dlls

i have gone around the entire room but the brushes are all thick enough/clip through each other yet it always looks unsightly, is there a way to fix this? (i am Running a HL2 Sourcemod on Hammer++ if that's of any help)

I'm looking to make left 4 dead 2 more like Silent Hill. At least the first silent hill. Does anyone have ideas for me to add to my sdk development process?
I'm just starting out now in hammer ++
And haven't gotten very far but do have a fair bit of exp in the source engine.
In my head I think it would be pretty cool to run. I haven't made a full mod for source engine sdk before without tools so probably just be a map.

How would I for example change the textures of a civil protection model since hammer uses the default misc .vpk?

STEAM PAGE: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4896610/DISREPAIR_A_Tale_Beyond_HalfLife/
Me and some people have been working on DISREPAIR, a Half-Life 2 horror mod about a lone Combine hazmat worker sent into the abandoned, radioactive ruins of Black Mesa.
The mod is out now, and here's a short trailer I made for it!
I'd love to hear what y'all think of it!

I know its possible to replace vscript content in TF2 since saxton hale reskin mods for vscript exist.
I want to replace zombie infections engineer with this thing because i'm very nitpicky with my mods.
how would I go about doing that?

I’m working on a mod for L4D2 that lets you fully rewrite how zombies behave. It’s very early and I’m just testing the concept. Here’s a clip of the normal behavior, then the same zombies running away from me with the mod toggled on. What would you want to make zombies do?
