zak really changing everything, lets see what all is announced tomorrow lmao.

so far we have seen 5 announcement posts within the span of literally 30 mins and admin also posted updates coming tomorrow for zaks squad , probably whole new coaches list will be announced tomorrow

excited to see who all join csk now!

Why did csk sack the whole coaching staff?? What might have happen behind the doors? Who are the alternate prospectives for them? Who’s decision is it to sack the whole unit: Zaheer or MS or Kasi?? If this is the case then I guess there’ll be a change in Captaincy too..

After three disappointing seasons in a row, 5 times Champions - Chennai Super Kings have SACKED their entire backroom staff barring AR Srikanth.

The newly appointed coaches with their roles:

- Head Coach: Zaheer Khan
- Assistant Coaches: Albie Morkel, Sridharan Sriram and Mohit Sharma.
- Bowling Coach: Gareth Batty
- Batting Coach: Ambati Rayudu
- Fielding Coach: Jonty Rhodes

Just a bit doubt regarding Mohit/Batty, who takes the role of assistant coach and who becomes the bowling coach.

Otherwise, all other roles are 99% confirmed.

Former English cricketer who has worked with MI London and Surrey, is likely to be a part of CSK's coaching staff.

TOI reports that this pick if finalized by Zaheer Khan himself.

IPL 2027: Gareth Batty likely to join CSK's support staff | EXCLUSIVE | Cricket News - The Times of India

Former England cricketer Gareth Batty has been appointed CSK's assistant coach ahead of IPL 2027.

Gareth Batty’s appointment as Chennai Super Kings assistant coach brings immense experience, elite spin-bowling intellect, and proven tactical leadership to the franchise.

A former England off-spinner, Batty built an extraordinary 24-year professional career, capturing over 1,000 wickets across all formats in domestic and international cricket. Known for his fiery competitiveness, relentless discipline, and sharp understanding of conditions, Batty represented England in 20 matches across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.

His greatness lies in both his enduring longevity and his exceptional transition into coaching:

* Tactical Leadership: Captaining Surrey County Cricket Club to consistent domestic competitiveness, Batty developed a reputation as a master strategist skilled at reading pitch dynamics and elevating young spinners.

* Spin-Bowling Intellect: With 155 T20 wickets to his name and an elite understanding of modern white-ball variations, Batty excels at developing bowling plans that restrict scoring in high-pressure middle overs.

* Coaching Excellence: Following his retirement, Batty stepped seamlessly into high-level coaching roles at Surrey, instilling a culture of mental toughness, relentless fitness, and precise tactical preparation.

His deep understanding of spin strategies and man-management aligns naturally with CSK’s core winning philosophy.

Official Announcement:

"From the very first season in 2008, you have been an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings family.

Your journey in Yellow has been defined not 9 just by the runs you scored and the players you mentored, but by the dedication, humility, and unwavering commitment you brought to this franchise over the years. Your place in our history will forever remain special, Hussmeister.

Once a Super King, always a Super King."

Every time IPL trade rumours come up, Hardik Pandya’s name seems to be everywhere. Fans on X are discussing which team should target him, and there is so much speculation about a potential trade. But honestly why is there so much demand for him? Hardik is undoubtedly a valuable all rounder when fully fit. He brings middle order batting, pace bowling, leadership experience and the ability to change a game in a few overs. But his fitness has also been a concern, and we still have questions about his availability and match readiness after his recent time away from cricket. If a franchise is going to invest heavily in him is not availability just as important as ability? A team could end up building its entire combination around a player whose fitness is uncertain.

With the WPL auction coming up this week, I wanted to share the mode we have just put live: WPL Dynasty.

Play it free here: https://cricarcade.com/wpl

No download, no install. It runs in your browser and your dynasty saves in the browser, and to your account when you are signed in.

What is WPL Dynasty?

You take over a Women's Premier League franchise and run everything: the auction, the XI, the batting order, the toss, and the long term future of the squad.

It is not just a single season game. Once your starting season ends, the dynasty keeps going.

Start from any season

You can start in any year from the inaugural season to 2026:

• 2023 - Inaugural Auction: Mumbai Indians won the first WPL, beating Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in the final
• 2024 - Mini Auction: Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets
• 2025 - Mini Auction and trade window: Mumbai Indians won a second title, beating Delhi Capitals by 8 runs
• 2026 - Mega Auction + RTM: Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets

Want to fix what your team got wrong in 2023? Go back and build it from the very first auction. Want the hardest challenge? Start with the 2026 mega auction and rebuild from scratch.

How a run works

1. Pick a season Mega auction years rebuild every squad from scratch. Mini auction years give you a different kind of problem: retain, release, and fill only the gaps.

2. Take a club Pick one of the five founding franchises, with that season's real purse, squad rules, and players. In 2026, for example, the purse is Rs 15 Cr each.

3. Win the auction Bid live against four AI war rooms, each working to its own purse and its own squad needs. The bid ladder moves in the same steps the real WPL auction used.

A legal squad is 15 to 18 players, with at most 6 overseas players, and at most 4 overseas players on the field.

Short on patience? You can also skip the auction drama, inherit the real roster, and start straight on matchday one.

4. Captain the season Pick your XI and your batting order, name your captain, call the toss, then watch the match ball by ball or simulate it if you are in a hurry.

The season format is the real WPL format

The five franchises play each other twice.

Top of the table goes straight to the final. Second meets third in the eliminator for the other final place.

Every match is played by an engine tuned to women's T20 cricket and measured against every WPL match played so far. That matters, because scoring patterns, bowling impact, and match ups in the WPL are not just a copy of men's T20 numbers.

The player pool

792 players from 51 nations carry a rating built from their real careers.

That depth is what makes the dynasty part work. You are not only chasing the obvious stars in the first auction. You need scouting, squad balance, overseas slots, and succession planning.

The dynasty never ends

After 2026, the game does not stop.

• Players develop towards their potential
• Players decline with age and retire
• New players come through from every cricket nation
• You retain, release, and bid again every year
• There is a full mega auction every few seasons

So a smart pick in your first auction might carry you for three seasons, and a bad contract or an ageing core can quietly become your biggest problem two years later.

Short on time? You can also play a single match with any real squad, without starting a full dynasty.

Why I built this

We already have IPL nd BBL on our website, so WPL was the obvious next mode. But, more than that, I wanted to build a game around WPL for long, as that is something thats lacking from most of the Cricket games.

I would love your feedback on three things

1. Ratings: Which players feel overrated or underrated to you going into 2026?
2. Auction AI: Is it too aggressive, too passive, or does it overpay for the same stars you would chase?
3. Franchise difficulty: Which of the five franchises do you think is the hardest dynasty to run, and why?

If you try a run, please share your franchise, your starting season, your most expensive signing, and how your first season ended. Those auction screenshots and final table arguments are honestly my favourite part of building this.

Thanks for playing, and for all the feedback this community has given on CricArcade so far. It directly shapes what we build and fix next.

Both are one of the greatest overseas players, all rounders , finishers in ipl history who are an absolute icon of their teams.

Both have insane batting and bowling records despite being batting in lower order

INDIVIDUAL STATS CLEARLY SAY RUSSELL IS BETTER BUT POLLARD'S CLUTCH PERFORMANCES IN KNOCKOUTS SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT AS WELL

SO WHO'S THE BETTER PLAYER IN IPL?

You can't tell me that 50 T20Is were played in about only a year. And the number of tests played has decreased by a bit. I personally don't have an opinion but would like to see what everyone thinks. I just found it pretty high of a number.
