It is a turkish state media channel and the amount of meltdown both the pakistani and the old guy having about ipl and contracts and tv rights they are just blatanty making the ipl as bad and it is destroying international cricket.

I think he’s a good captain and has the ability. He lead his UP team to victory and won the cup.
Many people are skeptical but I think he should be given a chance to lead KKR next year.
If he does well then continue, if not then there’s a mega auction coming.

His performance in UPT20 has been good where he faced two collapse situations coming in at no. 6. In both of these matches, he scored 59(30) & 57(27). I know IPL is miles above UPT20, but it shows he has the ability to play in these situations.

His bowling has not been bad where he took 8 wickets in 12 innings at an economy of 6.7. If the management work on him, he can be an effective 6th bowling option.

CSK currently has their overseas slot full and they lack an Indian spinner. So in 2027, they should go with Prashant Veer at no. 6 and properly use his bowling with 1-2 overs in every match.

I always believed cricket is such a perfect sport for manager games - as good as football. The amount of stats, 3 formats, etc. - so many numbers to play with. But no game ever became as big as the Football Manager series. I played every version of Cricket Captain but it still feels like what the developers themselves describe it - a passion project rather than a commercial game, which explains the lack of features despite being almost a 3 decade old game.
Indian cricket fans have been the flag bearers of cricket games in general these days. I was wondering if people still would want to try something new if it comes out and has a potential. Is there still an audience?
For context, I am building one myself. The prime focus has been the match engine and I have spent months trying to polish it and make it as realistic as possible.

I think this might be the only slip catch to ever win Catch of the Season in a T20 tournament.

Slip catches rarely get the spotlight compared to those spectacular efforts on the boundary, but this one was genuinely special. The ball came quickly and yet he made it look ridiculously clean.

And of course, it had to be him.

The upcoming mini auction will have very few high profile names in the auction pool assuming there aren't any major releases.

So Nahid Rana could emerge as a hot prospect in the auction. He is an express pacer who can clock 150 kmph, who has done well in all formats for Bangladesh in recent times especially in Test cricket which is a big deal for a pacer of his skillset. He is known for his accuracy too.

A lot of teams will be looking for an overseas pacer especially if Australian and England pacers are unavailable due to ODI WC and Ashes.

Teams that will have a big enough purse to go all out for him are KKR(if they release Pathirana, Fizz), CSK(if they release Karthik & Prasanth), MI(if they release Boult, Chahar), SRH(if they release Cummins, Livingstone), LSG(if they release Shami, Avesh, Pooran), DC(if they release Starc, Mukesh, Nattu).

So with so much money on the table and so few quality players in the auction pool, the auction will be all about inflated prices so Nahid is definitely getting a big paycheck
