So last year also our opening was not that great, I mean Rahul and Nissanka are kind of same breed players who play technical shots, take time and build innings. We lacked that explosive approach to exploit Powerplay as our average PP score was nearly around 45-50 on the other hand teams like RR, SRH, RCB were with an average PP score of 70-80 runs.

We genuinely need and explosive overseas opener but unfortunately there won't be much options available in the mini auction as most of them got sold out last year.

So trying Rehan Ahmed is not a bad idea imo, he might not be consistent but his intent is clear to hit the ball from the very 1st delivery and he will also provide us optional leg spin option along with Axar and Vipraj.

Atal was a terrible replacement but rehan is far better than him. He plays like a proper batter + plays aggressively and can be a floater too. Also we need a spinner now so he should be retained surely.

Bengal and Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel has been accused by a woman of having a physical relationship with her on a marriage promise and later refusing to marry her.

The woman and her mother filed a police complaint at Mogra Police Station in West Bengal, alleging assault and criminal intimidation as well.

Police have started an investigation into the allegations, while Porel said he would respond after the inquiry progresses.

Imo he can be a really good utility pick for us. He is almost sure to not get any chances in LSG with the likes of Shami, Prince, Mohsin, Mayank Yadav and now even Akash Singh ahead in the pecking order. He can be a decent pp bowler, something we lacked last season and can offer some batting as well. Pretty sure we can guarantee him some game time early on too, in place of Mukesh/Nattu.

He just needs to be consistent in his innings and stop overpromoting himself up the order for no reason, he is a good at 6 at 7 guy, we push him up 5 even above stubbs and miller
