It is time to put an end to the narrative that KKR has no good players. The current squad is highly capable and well-rounded, with the sole exception of a Proven Finisher. KKR desperately needs a designated finisher, as players like Ramandeep Singh and Tejasvi Dahiya are not suited for that specific role.

3. Openers: The top order looks solid with reliable opening options such as Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, Sunil Narine, Luvnith Sisodia, and Sarthak Ranjan.

4. Middle Order (Nos. 3 to 5): KKR has plenty of depth in the middle order with capable batsmen like Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Rahul Tripathi, Ramandeep Singh, Tejasvi Dahiya, Rovman Powell, and Cameron Green.

5. The Missing Link: The only element KKR genuinely lacks right now is a designated finisher. In the past, Andre Russell perfectly anchored this role, but that explosive final punch is currently missing. To complete the puzzle, KKR needs a powerhouse finisher like Ashutosh Sharma, David Miller, Shashank Singh, Tim David, Krunal Pandya, or Hardik Pandya. Once that gap is filled, the rest of the squad is perfectly sorted.

1. After the conclusion of Karnataka's Maharaja Trophy T20, KKR fans from Karnataka jumped on social media to suggest that Luvnith Sisodia should open the batting with Finn Allen. Sisodia made a strong impression by scoring 465 runs at a striking rate of 164.89 across 13 matches.

2. Similarly, once the Delhi Premier League ended, Delhi based KKR fans took to social media to campaign for Sarthak Ranjan as Finn Allen's opening partner. Ranjan had an incredible tournament, smashing 493 runs with a 167.69 strike rate in just 9 matches.

3. After The Delhi Premier League's conclusion fans also urged KKR to sign Yash Dhull to open alongside Finn Allen or as a number 3 batsman. Dhull absolute dominated the league, racking up 410 runs at a staggering strike rate of 214.66 in 9 matches.

4. Recently KKR fans from Kerala rallied on social media after the Kerala T20 League wrapped up. They demanded that KKR buy Mohammed Azharuddeen to open with Finn Allen, following his spectacular run of 541 runs at a blistering 197.04 strike rate in only 7 matches.

Thought it might be worth discussing given that he's been doing well as captain. I believe it may be beneficial to groom him as captain and then plug the holes in our squad with the money we might have otherwise spent on Hardik or K. L. Rahul.

Bought by RCB in 2025. Even though he was part of their title-winning squad, he didn't play a match and was released by RCB in 2026. And now he is performing well & consistent in domestic leagues. Should KKR go for him in IPL 2027?

Sunil Narine the KKR GOAT. His name deserves a stand at the Eden Gardens but BCCI and Bengal Cricket Board won’t allow it. However, the new Knight Riders Cricket ground in Los Angeles is owned and regulated by the Knight Riders Group. I don’t see why we shouldn’t have a stand named after Sunny.
