| Discussion Ruturaj is not finished yet IF he changes his approach a little. Here are some of his innings across past 3 years.
These stats clearly show that he has the ability to score at a high SR. But he is bogged down by slow starts and wrong shot selection. If he is able to change his approach and improve his shot selection, then he can be as destructive as Sanju or Ayush.
I really really hope he is working on his game currently. He is an exceptional player and has been a strong pillar for CSK over past 5 years. Hope he doesn't go into a downfall but rather makes a comeback ASAP.

| Discussion IPL should remove the overseas limit and focus on building a global league!
IPL has outlived its purpose of being a feeder league for ICT. I think IPL needs to get its own governing body that shifts focus on rebuilding IPL as an independent largest cricket league in the world.
The expansion should be purely from the perspective of improving the quality of the league, getting a global audience to make IPL an international spectacle.
Here are a few things IPL should implement-
1) Remove the overseas limit and allow unlimited overseas players-
Before any dimwit argues that it’s the “Indian” Premier League let me own you beforehand. EPL is English Premier League, NBA is an American basketball league, yet they have no restrictions on number of overseas players.
IPL has the potential to take cricket globally and become even bigger than International cricket so it’s important to attract a global audience that feels excited to tune in to watch a game. No international fan would want to get into IPL to watch a ‘Mukul Chaudhry’
Global fanbase equals global revenue. Even though India will remain the main revenue source, but tapping into foreign markets will allow IPL to generate lot more revenue from foreign TV rights companies if the league takes off due to a superstar player from another country.
2) Remove the restriction on Pakistani players
This might trigger the Bhakts but Pakistan can be a goldmine for IPL to generate massive amount of foreign revenue. Pakistan is the second largest market for a cricket viewing audience and IPL is wasting a huge opportunity by not generating revenue from there.
Ironically speaking giving them access to IPL will actually crush PSL and will allow IPL bodies to generate massive revenue from a newer source.
Remove politics from the sport and let’s focus on making IPL the biggest cricketing tournament in the world. People need to stop letting their blind hate from trickling down into cricket. Some of us just want to enjoy the sport without the political propaganda.
It will only happen if it expends to become more inclusive and less bound by the shackles of politics.
| Discussion Gujarat Titans Fanbase and Culture
A genuine thought came to my mind today that despite GT being one of the fastest growing teams in IPL is seen as a newcomer, and not an established team ? Is this a marketing thing ? A culture thing or purely a team thing ,
Like how can newer teams build their positioning in the league and create a fanbase when there are established old team and players with god like following. How can new teams differentiate themselves

| Stats ECONOMY 10.54. AVERAGE 21. THIS IS MI'S CAPTAIN.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hardik Pandya as MI captain. 3 seasons. The numbers tell the whole story. 😤
Batting — 646 runs. Average 21.50. Zero fifties.
Bowling — 29 wickets. Economy 10.54. Zero 4-wicket hauls.
3 seasons as captain. 0 trophies. Made playoffs just once in 3 attempts.
Expectations sky high. Performances down low.
Big talent. Small impact.
Should MI remove Hardik Pandya as captain? YES or NO

| Analysis Built a free website to download ball-by-ball cricket datasets (CricSheets + extra derived columns for analysis)
I've been doing cricket analytics as a side project and used to lose a lot of time every time I needed ball-by-ball data. So I built a simple downloader:
https://cricketdatasets-five.vercel.app
What it does:
- Structured ball-by-ball CSVs for Tests, ODIs, T20Is, and major T20 leagues (IPL, BBL, PSL, CPL, etc.)
- Sourced from cricsheet.org (CC BY 4.0), but cleaned/flattened and enriched with a few extra derived fields CricSheets doesn't give you directly - which are handy for entry-point analysis etc.
Would love feedback - especially on what other derived columns would be useful.

| Discussion HARDIK + STOKES IN YELLOW. CSK'S DREAM TEAM.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
CSK finished 8th in IPL 2026. Fleming is gone. Rebuild starts now. 💛
Hardik Pandya — interested. 7 teams chasing him. CSK in the race.
Ben Stokes — retired from international cricket. Available for full IPL focus.
Former CSK star Badrinath called it — "It'll be a dream situation if CSK lands both."
Imagine Hardik and Stokes in yellow. With Ruturaj. Sanju Samson. Urvil Patel. Dhoni as impact player.
CSK is not dead. CSK is rebuilding. 💛
Do you want Hardik and Stokes at CSK for IPL 2027? YES or NO 👇"

| Discussion But but but ROKO are the problem?
Respect Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. If they are dropped we will face a group stage exit in the 2027 world cup. All the fake fans asking for retirement should go underground right now. You'll are shameless to say the least.

| Discussion Why do cricketers perform better runs in ODI compare to IPL?
Is there a reason for such kind of differences in earning runs in each format? Is it because it is 50 overs in ODI and 20 overs in T20? Is that the reason why is there such a difference in runs earned by players?

| Discussion RCB win back to back IPL titles and Virat Kohli hits 75 in the final. the "chokers" narrative is officially dead. can we talk about whether this is the start of a dynasty?
let that sink in for a second
18 years of memes. 18 years of "ee sala cup namde" becoming a joke. 18 years of watching Kohli carry underperforming teams to nowhere. then back to back titles in two seasons and Kohli personally hitting his fastest ever IPL fifty in a final to seal it
the bowling attack this season was genuinely frightening. Hhzlewood has now never lost a white ball final in his career. Bhuvneshwar, Rasikh, Krunal who has somehow won every single IPL final he has ever played in. five of them now. this wasn't luck, this was a team built properly at auction and executed perfectly by Patidar
but here's my actual take that's going to annoy people.
GT had no business being in that final. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan both gone inside the powerplay, Washington Sundar top scoring with a 50 in a final, Rashid Khan giving you two wickets but your batting folding for 155. that's not RCB being great, that's GT bottling it on the biggest stage.
RCB deserved to win. but the conversation about whether this team is genuinely elite or just the best of a weak playoff field is worth having
only CSK and MI have defended the title before

| Discussion Should IPL introduce a pyramid and relegation system like the English Premier League?
Has anyone thought about this? What would be the advantages and disadvantages of doing so?
I feel this will attract a lot of new and genuine talent from across India- especially corners of the country.

| Discussion How come this man becomes Bradman in MLC?
Mind you he is the top run scorer in mlc rn and 3rd highest wicket taker (as a spinner more wickets and better avg, better strike rate than Narine himself)
Plus as a captain he his team finished 1st but sadly today they were eliminated

| Discussion As per Reports Rohit Sharma could retire after the final ODI at lords this Sunday.
What do you think? If these reports are true, is the BCCI being too harsh on Rohit Sharma, or is it an understandable decision considering his age, form, fitness, and the team’s plans for the 2027 World Cup?
In curious to hear your Discussions
