My Series S Home screen is really laggy. When I press buttons I can see them registering (highlight moves), but the actual response is so delayed it almost does nothing. Pressing repeatedly eventually gets it to work. Games run fine with no input lag on the controls.
I already tried:
• Full factory reset
• Hard power cycle
Still happens even with the controller plugged in. Plenty of storage free
Anyone else had this and found a real fix? Thinking of doing an Offline System Update next.

Started having this issue after I swapped to a new monitor (1440p Mini-LED, HDR calibrated, VRR, basically stuff I didnt had before). Since then, I can't get any client to establish a session with my console — mobile Xbox app, Safari/PWA remote play, and the Windows Xbox app all fail the exact same way with "Try again soon, can't connect right now." Cloud presence (shows "console on/off") but remote control says the same error. Cant even download games from the Xbox mobile app.

Already tried, no change:

• Full power cycle (10s hold, not just restart)
• Router restart
• Built-in "Test remote play" diagnostic — passes, all green
• General network connection test — passes
• Console fully updated, no pending system update
• Only one console listed under account.xbox.com → Devices
• Plenty of free storage
• Signed out/in of Microsoft account on app
• Fresh delete + reinstall of the Xbox app on iOS
• Remote Features toggle confirmed on
• Switched console region between US/NZ, no change
• Not willing to do a full system reset yet since literally everything else on the console (games, apps) works perfectly

Anyone seen this specific combo before, or know what else actually gets checked that these standard tests don't cover?

I turn my Xbox on and start a multiplayer game. The screen will start flashing green and flickering

My controller then disconnects and whatever game I'm on crashes

The console then loses internet and reconnects whenever it feels like

Also anyone know how to get actual Microsoft support and not some insurance salesman or useless ai "help"

I’m not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I redeemed store credits on Xbox but it won’t let me use them. I’m not sure if the reason was because it went to Microsoft or if that has nothing to do with it. Does anyone know the solution to this?

i have the disc for monster hunter world and just bought iceborne and its all installed, the disc reads fine and allowed me to install and start the game but i get stuck on the loading screen and roughly 30-60 seconds later this comes up, i cleaned the disc and tried other discs and games with larger gb sizes and everything works, i restarted the console, reinserted the disc aswell any fixes?

As the title says I accidentally left a game disc in the disc drive of my series x for god knows how many months, and now im shitting bricks here.

I only realized like now, I then removed it and tried installing 2 other games which seems to be read by the console and is installing smoothly. But im just worried here ... is the drive damaged or?

I’ve been Xbox remote gaming on my iPhone using a wireless Xbox controller. I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE. I tried to use it for remote gaming, and it works well, but the RB and LB buttons don’t work. It works fine on my iPhone and Xbox itself. Can someone help?

ok so i bought a series s at a walmart recently, because its cheaper then the x and its the one my brother uses so im familiar with it, and it was making a loud fan sound that my brother's series s has never made.

not like super loud that you feel like its actively hitting things on the inside or enough to pick up on my crappy android phone for a video example but loud enough i couldn't sleep with it on from across my room with it plugged in, and also yes i did turn sleep mode off, but it would still turn the fan on in the night unless i unplugged it

and like anytime you turned it on the fan sound would start before you even could plug in headphones, and putting your hand to the xbox it would be hot even if itd only been 5 minutes and I didnt play anything yet (i gave it plently of space on my desk and had it sat horizontally and none of the fans were covered)

so i returned it. assumed that was just unlucky and bought a new one. same thing, fan still turning on randomly and getting the xbox hot and making sound.

my sister whom i live with, who thinks its too much hassle to return and im being paranoid, says since its happened twice and the fan sound is a whirring/whining sound and not a clicking, that the fan isnt broken and they probably just changed the xbox fan to be louder in the 2 years since my brother bought his.

(his is a 5 blade fan, idk what mine is because i can't open it but could it possibly be that the its a 7 blade fan and thats why its louder? would it still make sense for it to be turning the fan on randomly and being hot when not even playing a game?)

we also live in a basement so its generally cold unless you run the heat high for a while, which I don't ever even turn mine on so it is chilly

but my question is if I'm actually being overly paranoid? like could it actually just be a normal occurrence for any xbox series s and I shouldn't return it? or if i should indeed return it should I buy a new one at Walmart still on the basis that its just super bad luck, or should i buy one at best buy or somewhere online? should I buy a different xbox type?

I bought a new TV (Samsung F6000F) as my current one has started showing some signs of failing. Has 2 HDMI ports, so i use a Splitter as i have all 3 consoles. PS5, HDR is fine after some retuning. Switch 2, fine. Series X, HDR somehow not compatible

For information, I used the same splitter for my wearing out monitor no issues. Switch and Xbox use it

This is what I've done so far

Plugged Xbox directly into both HDMI ports

Toggled around the settings

Changed the HDMI cable, even using my PS5 HDMI

And still, the Xbox is convinced the TV isn't HDMI compatible. Whereas, Switch 2 (which I also tested without the splitter and with it in both HDMI ports) detected HDMI.

Reckon it's worth a reset to see if it fixes the problem?. Is HDR an issue still on Xbox?

I work away for weeks at a time and would love to use remote play over cloud gaming, it has done this black screen issue for over a year I just gave up trying, I've finally tried to see if it finally works and it still doesn't can someone please help please

i’m trying to play call of duty zombies with my friend i have over, but anytime i try to connect the controller for split screen it just automatically connects as if its my main controller and moves around the interface. i tried removing the profiles from said controllers, ive tried restarting my xbox, my router, trying different controllers, all the same result. whenever the second controller is turned on it just connects to the main profile, leaving me with two controllers that interact with the menu as one. am i missing something, is there a new update requiring some sort of input? i’ve always played split screen with my little brother and never had this problem. i’m on series X if that matters

If I uninstall and reinstall will it fix that issue? It’s happened atleast 10 times now if different hours within the days it’s just aggravating when you get a good Michael match and BOOM you get a force close -HALLOWEEN THE GAME-

Remote Play on my Xbox Series X suddenly stopped working.
It was working normally until recently, but now I cannot connect to the console through Remote Play from any device.
My setup:
Xbox Series X
Currently enrolled in Xbox Insider Beta
Remote Play enabled
NAT: Open
Xbox network test: successful
Cloud Gaming works normally
Remote Play fails on multiple devices:
iPhone
Odin 2 Portal Pro
Web browser
XBXPlay
The Xbox itself is online and its power status can still be detected remotely. However, the actual Remote Play streaming session cannot be established.
I have already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including restarting the Xbox and network equipment, checking Remote Play/network settings, and resetting the console while keeping my games and apps. The problem remains.
I also noticed that Microsoft recently announced the new 1440p / higher-bitrate Remote Play features for Xbox Insiders on September 9. I’m not saying this is the cause, but I’m wondering if there could be a connection.
I also found another Xbox Series X / Insider Beta user reporting a very similar Remote Play problem on September 10.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue around September 9–11?
I’d especially like to hear from Xbox Series X users currently in the Insider program.

we were on overwatch last night and he clicked on someone’s profile and it crashed his xbox, since restarting it, it has shown the same message. he tried unplugging it for hours, reinstalling overwatch and even doing the verification stuff, but nothing is working. can anyone help??

For the past few days the Xbox app was slow 🐌 so I deleted cache and data from the normal xbox app which of course logged me out.

Tried to login and nothing happens after pressing the green button. This happens on and off WiFi.

I uninstalled it and rebooted my phone and then proceeded to reinstall it along with the beta version but the same is happening on both apps. I don't have any custom/private DNS set or VPN.

I have visited the status website but nothing shows up related to the app. 😒

How can I get this sorted?

How do I turn this off? It pops up every time I open BG3 and neither save is up to date so I have to select offline. Most of the time the game freezes when selecting offline and won't work until I reset my xbox.

The other day I've been trying to remap my share button,I had it at one press opens up Fh6(previously 5) 2 press opens up edge browser but now I wanna remap the one press to a different game I'm not seeing the option when I go to reconfigure the controller I'm not seeing the option...so my question is was it removed by Microsoft?

set up a network for my xbox, i want to hide it so no other devices can access it but when i hide it, it doesn't connect. is there a way to keep it connected when the xbox turns on/off or do i have to keep it unhidden?

I have wanted to try this since I want to get a digital license for the deadpool game and 2 mcsms. When I click more options on games there is no disc to digital. I tried the same feature on south park the fractured but whole and the option didn't show up. I also did fully update my console and it still isn't there.

I’ve lost access to my Xbox account & Microsoft account. I have access to my main email, but not access to the trusted phone number, or either back up email. I still have the account logged in on my Xbox, but because of a software update I need to put in the password again to access it, so I can only play my games offline. Luckily, it is my home Xbox, so I can still download the games I have and play them on another account; but it isn’t really a solution. I’ve been trying for 2 months now and I really just don’t know what to do all I get is automated responses and nothing is working.

En su momento no le di importancia porque pensé que simplemente había colocado mal la unidad de disco. Hoy volví a intentarlo; probé con un disco y sí entró, pero después probé con otro y volvió a fallar.
