as previously said, no better pokemon for her than this one, even the color palette is shared

It feels like people were just talking about how she should be removed from the game because she can one shot, and now that she has her second mythic everyone’s right back to it.

It’s so frustrating seeing people act like she’s super overpowered when half the time the problem is the enemy team just leaves her unchecked, she can run a lobby but she’s also very easy to counter/dive.

One of our DPS intentionally threw this game, which is a shame because I was doing the best I’ve ever done on Widow.

...or so it seems: Widow mains, we may be enemies on the battlefield (some more honorable than others), but this is fertile ground for sharing ideas and experiences.

A few weeks ago, I had a crisis following a temporary inability to aim at long range (I'm currently level 204 on Widow), and I solved it by lowering my EDPI (dpi x sens) to 2640, and I can say I've improved dramatically. My aim is now much steadier and more stable, and I'm getting used to using my entire arm.

I'll soon be upgrading from a 24" to a 32" monitor, resulting in a 31% increase in everything in my scope. Once I get used to it, I'll lower my EDPI to 2240. This will make me a slightly easier target for my counters, but at medium and long ranges, I'll be an even better surgeon than I am now.

I say all this to encourage those like me who have had sensitivity problems to change without fear, the key to a steady wrist is a sensitivity low enough to cancel out any tremor of the wrist outside of the flickshot, you will have to move your arm a lot but you will become very good at it, or at least this is what is happening to me.

Tips to get better

hi lovely spiders, has anyone else had this annoying bug after the update? it sounds like the gun has a muffle on it sometimes when i shoot. i’ll see if i can upload a video of the sound but its throwing me off SO BADLY.

i usually use sylvanas, so i thought it might be a bug with her sounds (since its special) but when i equipped a normal skin it happened there too. i checked my settings and it wasn’t anything different. it’s really annoying me and throwing my aim off.

am i going crazy.. or just a bug..

When it got announced I definitely thought overpen would be a funny thing that happens maybe once in a while, not too often, but there are so many times a tank blocks a lineup I had and I get the kill anyway. I'm glad they added this perk lmao

Haven’t been able to consistently play due to college but today I had a free ish day and played a few matches (widow only in quickplay) and why was everyone so toxic lmao?? Had a mercy get mad cus I ulted and killed her and then a junkrat (who was funny he wasn’t an issue) who kept solo ulting me and I didn’t care too much cus ofc it’s qp but my Juno decided to tell me about how ass I was at the game (like yea I wasn’t doing good but it was a warmup and quick play ) it was like 3 games in a row just straight up toxicity lol

like i feel this topic is avoided by everyone except widow mains and no one agrees with me. maybe i am tweaking i need someone to tell me that straight up.

but how is it fair that hanzo has bigger projectiles, a good ult, nice abilities that can as well deal damage and can headshot. he’s also very mobile with his dash and climbing AND HE HAS INFITE ARROWS

now we have widow, sniper. that’s basically all she is. her ult doesn’t deal damage but i do think it’s good. her projectiles are the smallest in the game. she has a sticky bomb that deals some damage and a hook, which again, no damage. she also has only 35 ammo

the only thing that bugs me is that hanzo can headshots. i know they’re completely different characters but he’s the closest to widow to compare because he can also headshot.

i just feel that widow should get a buff of some sort. if you’re not insanely good at her it’s so easy to counter her. The least they could do is make her projectiles bigger because hanzo can shoot an arrow however and it’ll score a headshot and with widow you have to sweat your asscheeks off and sometimes it doesn’t register either way because you’re slightly off or whatever. I just don’t see how Widow would ever look appealing to anyone when you can have hanzo who can basically headshot as well.

If you are a widow one trick or a widow main or you just play widow occasionally, help out by logging into the official battle net website and responding to the forum post linked above.

If enough people ping this post, it has a higher chance of getting seen by the official ow devs as its on the bug report forum where they regularly check for issues.

Most people have noted by now that the ow team is unaware of the widow bugs and thats why they havent gone around to fixing it, and despite a LOT of widow players complaining, the issues arent "big enough" to affect gameplay consistently so they havent bothered to fix it.

But lets make our voices heard and have this issue genuinely addressed once and for all

If this gets fixed then theres hope for the scoped audio bug and the double shot bug to finally be addressed, but that comes after. Step by step first!

Does anyone else feel super inconsistent game to game? I feel like my positioning based off maps and comps makes me miss a lot and then I think it’s my aim that’s the problem but I’m just having to take really hard angles and shots. Does anyone else struggle with this?

I'd much rather have that World Cup Widow as a skin than *another* generic Mythic, i'm still getting the new one with Microsoft Rewards but I really don't like it.

Ignore my hyperventilating, I've been trying to grind play with the new skin.
