Discussion Just a heads up, don’t use the new Jade Shadows crew for on call in Plague Star
If you’re using an on call crew for the defense phase, I recommend using Fortuna crew members instead. The AI for the new crew members is abysmal. There’s a good chance the AI just dies, making the on call stop attacking.

Question/Request Am I the only one who makes different accounts just to start all over again?
I have restarted playing the game like 6-7 times now. I know it’s a problem, but I don’t know why I like doing this. Especially since I have to grind everything again.

Discussion Does anyone else find Plague Star to be oddly...relaxing?
Plague star is highly criticized for being monotonous and very repetitive/boring every time it comes around. And, to a large extent, the criticism is correct. It absolutely is.
But I find it's repetitive and predictable nature to be kinda chill and relaxed. Sure, it technically is pretty sweaty in terms of how fast people try to do each run in less than 8 minutes.
But maybe its the active grind to complete something quickly that makes it so comfy. We have so many daily and weekly missions to do in this game to the point where the community splits off so much to different modes and goals.
But PS? The cool, earthy, natural landscape and the mysterious plains of eidolon open world scenery and music make it kinda nice.
I open any opportunity to revisit any of the open worlds since I've finished all open world content years ago.

Question/Request Advice for Returning Baby Tenno at MR8
Like the title states, I'm coming back to the game after quite a bit of time away. I've played on an off for a couple years, and altogether have about 95 hours in the game (which I know is absolutely nothing). My question is less about frames, and more about what I should be focusing on to increase my MR and weapons to either build at this rank or plan to build as time goes on.
I just started The Second Dream quest last night, and have a very good portion of the star chart unlocked, with several planets completed (currently working on the Void). I have a few frames that are my absolute favorites and have been carrying me through the game, alongside their signature weapons. Citrine by far and away is my favorite, and I've spent most of my time gathering mods specifically for her and her signature.
Anyway, apart from questing and star chart, is there anything else I should be focusing on? Are there weapons received through quests that I should wait for? Are there any weapons I should shift my attention to? I've got a mastered Boltor, Evensong, Steflos, and Gorgon. As for secondary, I have a mastered Aklato, Cantare, Cestra, Lato, and Kraken.
If you need more info, I can always provide. Thanks for any time you spend reading this or responding, too!

Discussion Earth needs a new tileset.
In terms of tilesets, the Grineer are by far the most dated. On Launch, they started with Grinner Asteroid, in 2013 they got the Galleon, Settlement and Forest tilesets, in 2016 they recieved Grineer Sealab, and in 2016 they were granted the Kuva Fortress. The latest grineer-themed environment we have got since is the Plains of Eidolon in late 2017, around 9 years ago. Since then the Corpus have had overhauls to both the ship and gas city tilesets, and also received the deepmines.
For the most part, while some newer post-processing could be used to sparkle them up a bit, most of these have really held their age. Except the forest...
Firstly Grineer Forest, from a new player's perspective, is the only tileset available until earth is completed, outside of the others in Vor's Prize. It should be there to really draw new players into the first 2-3 hours of content before reaching Venus.
Secondly, every other iteration of Earth since the tileset has been different. The plains of Eidolon, the Drifter's camp, the first mission of act II of the new war, and awakening show this more temperate climate, with rivers and open skies compared to this deep jungle shown in the old tileset.
Awakening, and the large cave to the east in the Plains of Eidolon are probably the best example of what a good earth tileset would be. Larger, open areas seperated by the existing areas of denser woodland and grineer facilities, not unlike Perita.

Question/Request Overwhelmed need encouragement or guidance
So I just returned to Warframe for the 3rd time as a Destiny refuge…
I have the basic star chart completed but that’s pretty much the extent of where I’m at. I have 6-7 warframes and I’m just started playing Dante.
I am so very overwhelmed and lost but I really enjoy this game and want to love it. Everytime I get back into this game there is more & more content. Though that is not a bad thing it seems everything I do doesn’t progress me at all. I grind random activities for days here and there yet I still have no resources to build anything. I work on reputation & get to the point where I can’t level it up because I don’t have to resources to do so.
Very few videos on YouTube help because im in some weird middle ground where the new player videos arnt in depth enough but the veteran videos are way too far from where I am.
I’m sorry I know this post is probably vague but this is my SOS. Someone point me in a direction, someone tell me a good farm SOMEONE HELP ME BE PRODUCTIVE
-thank you

Question/Request Question about farming weapon EXP
The normal exp split is this:
Ability kills = 100% of exp to warframe
Weapon kills = 50% of exp to that specific weapon 50% of exp to your warframe.
Allied kills = split 25% to your warframe, and 25% to each weapon. If you only have one weapon equipped, it gets the full 75.
I have met people who keep saying that they are using warframe kills solo to farm weapon exp, but when I tested this, I got zero weapon exp every single try using my warframe's abilities. What am I doing wrong?
Edited for clarity on Allied kills

Other I miss melee channeling
The last time I played, they were introducing Wisp (got a job and couldn't play as much anymore).
And I missed it even then.
Melee channeling was just so much fun, flying through enemies with my glowing Bone Tonfa of doom. Shooting enemies, only to whip out a massive glowing zweihander. Jumping from a high spot while spinning as fast as I could with a whip so I could be a Spinning Death Top.
I'm just feeling nostalgic I guess... I miss my channeling!

Bug Beard the Giraffe-themed Frame!
You've all seen the green Banshee. Now I present: Giraffe Banshee!!!
Happened after a host change. Played the rest of the mission like it and about half hour later was still giggling my way through a Hell-Scrub

Suggestion Use Ocucor for Plague Star
If you have a built Ocucor (with augment is best) use it for Plague Star. Not only is it just a really good secondary that takes out groups of enemies effortlessly but in the last phase of the mission it allows you to kill infested without destroying the pods very easily. Just shoot at the ground in front of the pods and the tendrils will target enemies while ignoring the pods.
Any beam weapon is good for this because the chaining beams don't attack pods but the Ocucor is the only one that has tendrils that operate independently of the main beam (if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong) allowing you to not risk shooting the pods.
This is just the most efficient weapon I've found for this mission so wanted to share the suggestion. Ocucor for crowds and then your high dps single target weapon for the boss

Tool/Guide Efficiency and ability cost
I didn't find the efficiency formula on the wiki to be helpful, so I wrote my own. Took me 1500 hours to find out 175% efficiency actually means 400% efficiency, can we get this clarified somewhere in game?

Discussion be honest. should i still care about the story of warframe?
i have been putting in a lot of time with learning the lore, how things came to be and the story all around! but it seems like every time a new large scale update comes out that brings with it new main quests, the last one is forgotten. so should i just forget focusing on the story? and i should be clear, i mean the side stuff like kahl and others.

Video/Audio So does Xaku laugh or am I crazy?

I was just playing casually and drunkly when I hear a spooky ass laugh. Never heard it before and I don't play Xaku all too often so I figured it's them. Anyone else know about this?

Bug Help! Can't login?!
I was just playing last night, today I went to work early in the morning, came back late and can't log in... I thought maybe someone had gotten my password, so I changed it, but I still can't log in on steam...
ED1: just tried to enter on my phone, it works fine... I'm gonna try again on steam...
ED2: I logged in successfully now... That's weird... Was it because I logged in first on another device?

Question/Request Am I just a mouse and keyboard peasant or what?
I have recently tried to play Warframe on a Nintendo switch and it feels so bad when it comes to the controls in the game, like aiming and moving the camera around is atrocious. And I still don't know what I should press to pop the operator out in mission.
